How is copy/pasting SirFranc's work, worth calling "Modding"?

It's something i'd expect from ownedcore members.

I doubt you're seeing all the gameobjects in that tower at any one time anyway. And even if you did, I suppose the information is streamed from a server.

I talked with him, and he says he's looking for people who can write stories and do artwork in a cartoonish fashion, so I guess there's even more opportunities.

If you want to talk to him, add Blobberen1 on your skype. I have nothing to do with it apart from helping out finding people ^^

Writes usual alpha to big alpha adts. We have this bug in noggit too.

How do you solve it though? What provokes it?

Recruitment / IndieDev opportunity
« on: April 20, 2015, 11:25:38 am »
Hello Modcraft!

I have a friend in my class who is working on a mmorpg indie-game with a very polished art-style and a unique design, however, right now he's alone about it, and is looking for help, I am trying to learn programming to help him out, but i'm not quite good enough, so I was thinking of asking if we have any programmers here, who might be interested in a SERIOUS indie development team.

If everything goes right, it might actually turn into a job and a well-worth opportunity.

However, to make sure I am not giving him people whom wants, but doesn't have the skillset needed, I need to know if you're able to commit your spare time to work on something without getting a salary (He talked about selling assets to pay for licenses) and you have to be able to actually program. How to troubleshoot your own software and be able to develop your skills further incase a tool is needed that you might not neccesarily have the experience to yet.

This is a very serious project, so please don't waste time if you're not commited. You also have to be 18+ purely for official reasons.

The game he's developing is a unique IP and  it is a new game.  Poke me if you're interested and I will forward you!

I tried it out, I don't have to point out the obvious flaws, I love the brush, is it possible to make it work with tablets? (so when you press the pen down, it draws, rather than having to hold control (You can make it a seperate function that can be toggled)) - I love the interface, and the rendering, it feels like a real tool, apart from the state that it is in, very much looking forward to see it at a state where you can use it.

I also found out that it is unable to load my custom maps (I tried to patch it to see if that would help) Is this something to be added or am I doing it wrong?
One of the biggest points for Steff is tablet support. :)

awesome!

You are obviously doing it wrong because I currently use Neo to paint vertex shaders. I have experienced this problem before but later I did it by doing smth to the patch. Don't remember what exactly tho.   :(

How are you importing the files? I do it the same way as I do in noggit, I write my mapname in the search bar, but it doesn't find anything :P

Noggit / Re: [BUG] Textures of a custom map are rendered black in-gam
« on: April 13, 2015, 01:52:15 pm »
Textures are never rendered dark unless there's a shadow over them, or if you put a black vertex shader on them. to remove shadows you simply just raise/lower the terrain (but seeing that you already did that in the cpiture, this is probably not the case) - It looks like vertex shading, I guess you've been fooling around with noggit? :P

Although this has never happened to me, so i'm just giving you my assumpsions

Noggit / Re:  [RELEASE] [BETA] Noggit SDL 1.4
« on: April 13, 2015, 11:50:50 am »
It happens less frequently now after resetting shaders and water, and moving noggit to an empty harddrive. I've got no idea about which ones it would be, but after seeing visual studio crash on my 99.9% full harddrive, I assumed it would be a cause for the noggit crashing XD
