Noggit / Re: [BUG] Noggit 1.4, WMO duping.
« on: April 07, 2015, 02:48:46 pm »
I have the same problem in 1.3 SDL.

I  fixed it by using my ancient old Noggit 1.1 SDL to place doodads et cetera, but using 1.3 to work on the terrain. (Didn't see that there was a 1.4 till today)

TL:DR - You can use old release noggits and some of their working tools in combination with the newer ones. Afterall I believe 1.4 is a beta client. And there's no point working with beta clients, as they are.. Beta..

But if you're just testing then.. great report :)

...people will think the whole thing was made by them

I think this is a good thing. ^^

I see, then I'll not argue much more here, because it becomes more conceptual and this is not the place to talk about this kind of subjects. But this is undoubtely the point where we disagree.  :|

Let's agree that you've not made a 100% custom piece of content yet yourself.

E.g Your own texture files, your own models, and your own landscapes.

And let's not haste into conclusion, by saying that the very files you've built on. are Blizzard's as well.

I was once a hypocrite as well, and it never ends well for a hypocrite.

I'm still not a big fan of your project yet because the creation of your maps is still too dependant of Blizzard's works.
Despite of a great work on atmosphere, there are only a few of true texture work, it's almost only object spawning and skybox work. The canyon is awesome, but it was made from Blizzard's emerald dream, I can't applaud it fully. The Thor'zain pass mainly exist because of the M2 ground, when it came to personal ground texturing, my eyes started to burn (cf here : http://i.imgur.com/XLUnOhN.jpg )

About Bolvar's texture on several races, please, please, change those women textures, those body-builded ladies are true pain for my sense of beauty. Though, if you will was to make a strong lady without sexism, then go on, you have an excuse that I shall accept despite the terrible aspect of it.

Gehenna's is mainly dependant of Firelands. Plus, some choices of objects are still weird.
==> http://i.imgur.com/IUFcWRx.jpg Come on, wood ? :O

About the Drow Prison, I only see Ahn'kahet dephts used as a background zone, in which you roughly added zangdar M2s, rocks, qiraji ruins and thorns. This aera itself is a reuse of Shadowmoon valley textures by Blizzard, only turning green lava to red. And this is not honest to post landscapes as if it was your creation when it's not, like there : http://i.imgur.com/bUY55OR.jpg

I actually respect more the last work, about the Orc Starting Zone, even if it's the ugliest. At least, I can see that you're starting to see what it is truly to have to texture an aera.

Ah, and my apology for being so rude. I'm still waiting to see that project progress more. It wouldn't be fun if there weren't someone telling he doesn't like the result

I think I can help him with the hand-drawn texturework.

I like your enthusiasm, However the mountain texture work isn't working for me. It's novice quality, Often if i've been texturing for hours, and start slacking, I end up with similar dotty mountains, having to erase it and start over.

There's nowhere in the real world, where you find dotty mountains. WoW is a artistic representation of a real world. (graphically I mean).

Therefore you have to paint the content, as if it was a toony painting of a real mountain. Huge cliffs, spikey rocks, it's all welcome.

A good tip, is to take reference from the Blizzard artists, as they ARE some of the craziest game designers you can find.

I'm actually a huge fan of this project. Please, post more ^^

It's outdated. You can use a torrent of Anthony's 9GB patch. It contains all the models (.m2 and .wmo and other files) that are fully compatible with 3.3.5a.

What patch is that? can you link it?

The only thing keeping me from spamming the forums with mods, is the fact that I have no computer to mod on..

Only this laptop with a 1ghz processor and 4gb ram.. Which.. is not gonna happen :) so untill I get some workstation up and running, nothing will happen, apart from planning what to build.

BanzBoyz is a butthurt kid, that was banned from Ownedcore and then went to AC-Web. He later starts hating on Modcraft couse of Modcraft members also being members on AC-Web, and that Modcraft should keep to Modcraft and AC-Web to Ac-Web. After Stoneharry said something like: "Uses tools and tutorials from Steff and Modcraft, but gets angry when Steff comes to AC-Web."

Yes, I know about AC-Webs and how they steal content, and I don't think AC-Webs is the place to be if you want critism for your work, in order to evovle..

As said before, it's only the personal stuff that kinda ruins the point of that thread for me. Why have such drama there? half of the readers doesn't know about me anyway. It's kinda like Slumf and I back in the day.. Or basically how I was against slumf. Disgusting to be honest.

He is talented in modding. But for some reason he is AC-Web addicted and flamed me in the past some times if i posted links to MC. But this is gone in the last time. He do much work there in form of tutorials and support.

So we could need more such guys :)

I have nothing against him to be honest, apart from him calling me a ho, which I can't justify, but I was just wondering how many people feels like him about me xD

And the fact he also hates eluo is a mystery for me..

dunno, but he has some serious issues.

It actually took me a while to realize who he was.. According to the archives I found, I never actually insulted him, apart from giving him critism on his work.

I guess he just naturally hates me :D

Noggit / Re: Noggit Texture Problem
« on: November 19, 2013, 05:19:01 am »
It has existed even in the older noggits, all you need to do is adding textures in noggit and it will work fine (or raise and lower terrain)

then it should work perfectly the next time you load up the adt.

It frequently happens on new WDT/ADT files created by older taliis applications (cant confirm this, but ive not seen it happen since I got my hands on the newest taliis)
