You have to make textures both for faciallower and scalpupper (upper and lower textures). Resolution you have to set is the same as for face textures (facial and scalp are 512x512 so you have to make 256x64 and 256x128 from them). After that just edit dbc correctly and here you go.
Also, with simple math I got that the best scale for face texture in blender (resizing by Y) is 0.375. Result with this value is much more better than with the "freeskill".

As long as we are talking numbers: I get the face texture resized to 6.81 cm that means a resize to 37.70 % of the height. You can find this out when resizing in photoshop, just take the percentage numbers because blender starts resizing from a scale of 1 or 100%.;)

With math and measures everything becomes easier:)

Finally, as much as the Gods above forgive it, I have finished a Human Female Warlords of Draenor Model with no melted face, no (so far) broken animations and a glorious new HD model. Thankyou so much for this tutorial, now finishing off with the melted-texture ones and moving onto harder HD models.

If you guys want I can keep on dishing out fast models without facial and scalp textures and you can work on the facial and scalp textures. yesterday before I went to bed I did the male dwarf too so I did 4 models in total for the day without scalp and facials textures. And now I have Humans, Gnomes Night Elfs and Male Dwarf. Ima finish with the female dwarf try to do draenei again after I gaineda few more skillz and then move on to horde.

So for today ima try to finish alliance and hopefully manage to do even 1 orc model
Here is the female

I am a little mindfucked on the draenei male horns anyone got any ideas?

The fuck this damn draenei male. First he loads face textures for tail and tentacles then his lip is flying all around the place. And third there is no fucking way to make him load horn textures...
Ignoring horns and the mutating lip is there a way to change in dbc which texture is loaded for certain geosets? So I can make tail and tentacles geosets use skin texture not face

i have an issue with 4.3.4 custom patchs, for some reason i keep getting random errors.

mostly about blp missing, REALLY EASY TO FIX, just put those in my custom patch and thats all, but i keep getting this random errors from time to time

but if i want to give this to my friends i guess that i cant because they dont know how to fix this, so .... there is something that i did wrong?

not sure why is that :(

btw i have the game full, so ... its not that, and i have a wow,exe patched ...

PD: thats why i hate 4.3.4 client side, not the same with 3.3.5, ... so easy :(

Broken geosets gets removed but what about hair styles etc? What do you plan to do instead of removing hairstyles and let the characters be bald instead?

Srs question. I am interested.

Reason why I haven't done a tutorial on the scalp textures is because I find them to be very ugly.... idk what blizzard was thinking....

Let me inform you and anyone else that may read this so you all know.

A geoset = a submesh

A submesh = a model

So in other words a "hairstyle" is all of the above and that goes for every other part of the bod they are all models.

These models have more polygons then the engine can support and that's why they appear to be broken when they are not.

It's very simple to get them working but I'm currently going to be very busy since I'll be raiding at end game level again in WoD in top 100 guild.... so I will be inactive in the modding community for a little while.

Can you at least tell us whats the max polygon count cata/wotlk can support? So we can try to figure out the rest ourselves
Also done with female orc with no scalp and facial textures:

The information is out there... it's been posted on several threads...

For wotlk 19950 is a good polly count it supports 20000 but it's best not to actually hit the cap.

I'm not sure about cata It could be slightly higher like 22 or 25 but I doubt it.

Again like I said above the information is out there you just have to look for it.
