Serverside Modding / [SOLVED] NPC passing through the floor
« on: December 14, 2016, 10:51:46 pm »
Hello,

Yeah, you'll say "extract maps, extract vmaps..." I already did it, let me explain :

I have two maps, one is a "dungeon" map and the other is the "public" map, they are exactly the same maps, same ADTs, same WDT, same maps, same vmaps...

But, on the public maps everything is okay, I don't have any problem but on the instanced one, a npc start a waypoint path after giving a quest and he pass through the floor. Only on the instanced one, everything is okay on the public one.

Have you any idea about this issue ? I don't really know what to do actually :/

After some tests I get this error :

pym2trunkm2.py", line 928, in unpack
    self.Timestamp, = struct.unpack("i",f.read(4))
struct.error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4

>_> my computer seems to refuse to be nice with me

I haven't touched python for a long time and I'm kinda... lost  :?

Modelling and Animation / Re: WotLK HD models idea

Greetings from Mét@ and I :)

You mean something like this ? http://www.model-changing.net/files/fil ... model-335/

Meta and I are working on it for my own server, but we don't see why we should keep it for us.

Actually we only released humans models, but trolls will follow, then Gnomes, then ... take a loot, here is a list we did on our Trello :

first : Trolls (we need to finish females)
second: Gnomes
third : Orcs
fourth : Taurens
fifth : Dwarves (maybe the hardest ones, one beard and maybe one or two ugly haircuts will be deleted, sorry)
sixth : Undeads
seventh : Night elves
eightth : Blood elves
and then Draeneis.

Now go read some threads put in some work and actually do that for yourself instead of expecting someone else to do it for you.

You don't need to be rude like this, you have our list, if you want to do some good models and release it we'll create a full HD patch with pleasure :)

Don't wait for us, it'll take a lot of time before we'll be finished with it.

Thanks for your tutorial, but you should upload your imgs aways from OwnedCore, because, if you're not connected to OC, you can't see images ^^

Re-extract your model and try with this converter : http://www.model-changing.net/files/fil ... converter/

Tell us if it's okay

You have to modify MapDifficulty.dbc, but I'm not sure it's the only thing to do, maybe some people can complete my post

You can't replace repack files with your fresh compiled core, I'm sure Jeutie's repack is very useful because a lot of things are fixed but you'll have to do everything by yourself if you want to have some custom features in server side.

Anyways, if you don't need to add something in the core, you can use a repack, but one day, you'll be stuck and all your work will become useless 'cause of those noob friendly things :)

Thank you, I can't work on the listfile anymore, your work on it is amazing

I am a great internet traveler, and I'll go on your forum, if modding needs to evolve, and  it is necessary to create a new platform to reach this goal, I'll be on it for sure.

« on: November 10, 2015, 01:05:35 am »
Hi guys, it's really not modding related but I want to share you something.

It's a french class which is composed of children aged between 6 and 10 years, they are asking for postcards from differents countries in the world in order to study them.

I know a lot of people here lives far from France and I propose to you to send a postcard from your city or country for them.

I join their letter on this post, it's here
It's writen in french, I know I know but I resumed the content before :)

In case you don't see the adress :

Ecole le rocher des lutins
1 rue des écoles
85330 Noirmoutier en l'île
France.

they should be happy to receive postcards from Germany, Russia, far away... !
