Alright, well I did exactly that. It's now loading the maps, but for Karazhan, it's still being defaulted to the 'custom' map (http://i.imgur.com/sOX8gTl.png) and doesn't load the maps whenever I enter the targeted area, etc. (As well as Magtheridon's Lair, which shows the custom map again, and you have to select the "Area 1" map (which your icon wouldn't be shown on)

This seems to be the problem as well for Sunwell (I can see the first map of the 'Sunwell' instance (http://i.imgur.com/ul0NfZm.png), but entering the actual Sunwell "well" area, it doesn't load up the second map)

EDIT/UPDATE: Well, I figured out I had to edit the DungeonMapChunk,dbc in order to get it to work. Thanks for your help everyone.

I'm trying to get the Karazhan map to work in 4.0.6a, but I can't seem to do so. I think it's because Karazhan technically has more than one 'map' persay (because of how big it is), but.. Hrm I don't know. Right now, this is all I'm getting: http://i.imgur.com/c0JTOBp.jpg

Mostly same for any other instance that would technically have more 'maps' because of how huge they are. I figured out how to do it, and it seems to be working for areas that would have one single map (Like Old Hillsbrad; http://i.imgur.com/QxcHgFB.jpg). But.. hrm. Could use some help with this.

Nice patch. I totally forgot to add in the map IDs to the actual server DB (I swapped the DBCs). I was trying to figure out why I couldn't port to other map IDs (cata-mop). So I'll have to do that.

But from what I've seen (Gilneas, Stormwind, Orgrimmar.. everything Azeroth mostly), it's actually awesome. And for those who don't necessarily want to upgrade to MoP/Cata, this would be a decent asset for those servers.

You know how we have a map for every zone in World of Warcraft (including dungeons now)? I wanted to know how I can port over those maps to 4.0.6a, in particular dungeon maps for some of the TBC instances that were added around 4.1.0, such as Karazhan, the CoT dungeons, Sunwell, etc.

I hate to necro old topics, but I'm looking into this project again. What tools are now readily available to accomplish this? When I tried it with that old Firelands Dev Map, I ended up swapping the Firelands from 4.3.4a over to 4.0.6a. Forgot some textures, buildings were pink giant-ass cubes (And textures as in I forgot to port over the tilesets and what-not, so kind of an "uh oh" on my part), and portions of the land were definitely missing. But that's probably because I did the old method of "swapping ADTS", which could prove not to work all the time.

The Gronn doesn't look too bad on Wrath. Maybe a few tweaks to get it up to "par" with the Wrath standards, and it should.. well, it should be good to go.
