Minimap generation (with m2 and wmo) would be awesome.

And something that could also be nice : the ability to setup points like for the areatrigger or flypath within the program :p

yea this +1, and an ETA any chance? weeks, couple of months? roughly :b

And also a little easier interface wouldnt hurt, I dl-ed that last world editor and its probaly awsome but I had alot of things to do so I just skipped it coz I didnt get a hang of it fast. I mean I dont want to troll or anything just saying, I had stuff to do before I started customizing the world with M2s doodas.. Id probably have to start using it at some point, well unless this arrives sooner I hope ;)

Nice work y'all. I've been working on a mapviewer/modelviewer in C# myself and I'm glad you decided to make it open source. I've been having issues with ADTs, but now I'll be able to learn from the code!

It's done, when it's done. ^^
You can always get the newest version from the repository. We don't even know, what features we will add to the editor. Cromon told me: The more the better. :P
I think the first "real usable" version will be there, when we can edit a world and save it.
We don't have a deadline and i don't think we'll ever have one, because this is a project, that we do in our free time.
But don't worry. You'll always find the newest, usable version of the editor in the thread, after we made one.
Btw, does anyone have an idea for a name? :)

You can call it WoWEdit, WoW Map Editor (WoWME), WoW World Builder (WoWWB).  Anything like this would do.

WoWEdit and WoW Mapper are already in use. Might not want to use those to avoid confusion.

Like in SharpWoW? Shouldn't be a big problem. :)

Ah, here's a little video for you guys:
https://cloud.cromon.ch/f/96349608efcb1 ... 000367490f

I recall you were unable to save any light changes in SharpWoW, but the basic functionality was really great, so if you could shove that in then that'd be awesome!

No, you're able to save changes. I have already done this for my canyon map.

Im currently working on the wmo models, but what a lot of you people wrote here is one of my top priorities: Ground effects. Editing them is pretty simple, currently thinking of a way to most efficiently render them.

Is this done with OpenGL or DirectX? Wouldn't ground effects be a prime example of a place to use instancing?

Hmm, I must have been using an older version then, because none of the changes I made persisted.
