Modelling and Animation / New Race Model Bugs
« on: March 13, 2019, 10:27:50 pm »
Hi everyone!

I have a new race, Arakkoa, on my TrinityCore 3.3.5a server. I also have a custom Demon Hunter and playable Ogre. All works well except for some appearance issues. This is where it gets a little weird for me.

BUG #1) Arakkoas.
Our Arakkoa works flawlessly if your playing on it. However, for others players around you, their client will crash if they see a player playing as an Arakkoa. This goes the same way for if an Arakkoa sees another Arakkoa, you crash. If I spawn the same race model Arakkoa as an NPC though, it doesn't crash anyone.
As you can see, I can play as an Arakkoa fine: https://i.imgur.com/4pWIB3x.png
Here's the client crash error from the player's who sees another player playing as an Arakkoa: http://puu.sh/CZwNd/4ae1792efe.jpg

BUG #2) Demon Hunters.
Our Demon Hunters are basically duplicated versions of the original Belf & Nelf race models but modified to fit the DH theme and needs. Similarily, everything works perfect for yourself. If I play as a Demon Hunter, I look like this: https://i.imgur.com/psRBVRZ.png
If someone else sees a player playing as a Demon Hunter, they don't crash but they end up seeing them like this: https://i.imgur.com/g2iH1JG.png

Just to be clear; If I take a screenshot as a Demon Hunter standing side-by-side with another Demon Hunter. I look fine, the other Demon Hunter doesn't: https://i.imgur.com/Mb6jHbF.png

BUG #3) Male Orcs.
Orcs have the same issue as Demon Hunters. They look like this to other players: https://i.imgur.com/ekZJj2d.png

BUG #4) Ogres.
Even though Ogres are the ones that work the most by not having any appearance issues on default, they do end up looking like this after demorphing only: https://i.imgur.com/UCgnFk8.png
Here's how they look normally: https://i.imgur.com/ap6WGUt.png

Actually, something I noticed with all the races listed above is that upon demorphing in particular, they end up facing these issues. Arakkoa will crash you on demorphing. Ogres, Orc Male & Demon Hunters end up looking like how other players see you but to youself after demorphing.

Sounds like a DBC issue to me. But I can't seem to find out what's actually causing this in the DBCs. It's important to mention that all players have the same DBCs/patches, including the server-side DBCs are the same as the client-side DBCs. What doesn't make any sense to me is how everyone looks fine to themselves but seeing other players, they have skin bugs.

If anyone can help out in any way, please do let me know. I am willing to try what I can.
We are also recruiting at the moment (http://anarchy-wow.com/apply/). If this is your line of work and you are interested in applying for a server as a developer, ANARCHY may be the place for you :)

Best Regards,
Deathorous.

Miscellaneous / Custom Map Area & Zone ID "unknown"
« on: January 27, 2019, 08:19:09 pm »
Hi everyone.

I'm working on a new map made on Noggit. My goal is to have everything for the map's coordinates working properly. Everything is fine except for my Zone ID & Area ID. Even though I've added them in AreaTable.dbc & Map.dbc and painted them in on the map on Noggit, the ID itself still shows as 0 and "unknown" as shown below:

What's weird is that the Area/Zone name is still appearing when I enter different parts painted on to the map. So it's apparently semi-working. But the IDs appear as 0.

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Deathorous.

Recruitment / Looking For: ZONE MAKERS
« on: July 22, 2017, 07:40:46 am »
Hello, everyone!

I'm in need of a few developers who can create new zones from scratch.

Specifically, I need the following:
Race/Class Specific Starting Quest Zones
  • A simple zone that allows a storyline to take place through questing.
This would contain fields for mobs, roads, water, mini-zones within the zone (like buildings with campfires, etc...). Nothing too complicated.
Dungeons
  • Something like 'Ragefire Chasm'.
I'd like good texture-use, be able to add a specific color scheme used to create a good environmental theme to the dungeon, something that is easy for the player to flow through. This way players don't get lost, which again, something not too complicated, but can show design.
Overall, I'm looking for good quality. I can understand certain limitations due to the client (3.3.5 WoTLK) & program usages... Not everything is 100% possible, no worries. But please, no choppy work. Keep it professional! :)

Interested? Don't hesitate! Feel free to contact me through Skype | My Skype: Waseem9116
Even if you feel like you may not qualify entirely, I'm looking to form a group of world builders.
You may have what it takes! You won't know till you try. ;)

Recruitment / [WotLk] [Paid-Recruitment] New Zones From Scratch
« on: September 09, 2016, 01:59:53 pm »
Hello everybody.

I'm looking for someone who can create new WoW zones from scratch.
In specific, an instance. This instance is going to practically be like multiple mini-arenas but in several parts within different places.

Here's a quick upper-view layout I made in paint just to get an idea:

The rectangles are the halls that lead to the mini-arena-like zone (the circles).

I'm looking to create 2 of these zones. One for Horde, and one for Alliance.
You seriously would really need to understand how to differ your designs from Alliance and Horde when making these 'instances'. Flags, textures, fire/water, everything would really need to be significant between Horde and Alliance.
But the actual instance or zones would be the same layout.

I'm very serious about this project and I'm offering to pay for this.
If you're interested, please contact me on Skype: Waseem9116

Deathorous.

Modelling and Animation / [WotLk] [Paid-Recruitment] M2 & New Backgrounds
« on: September 04, 2016, 06:28:12 pm »
Hello everyone.

I'm looking for a developer who can create custom M2 screens such as new race backgrounds (for character creation & selection), and a new login screen made completely out of M2 & new models, none should be from the lua with M2. Practically as professional as how Blizzard does them.

In specific, I have 2 new races which are Jinyu and Ogre.
For Jinyu, it would be a Murloc/Fish/Pandaren-like style.
As for Ogre, it would be a brute & force type environment.
The new login screen is something I'd like to discuss with you instead.

I'm willing to negotiate a price as well.
Add me on Skype if you're interested: Waseem9116

This is not some kind of joke or scam. I'm seriously looking for determined developers who will put in dedicated time.

Regards,
Deathorous (a.k.a spiderwaseem).

Miscellaneous / Adding a Level Requirement Message Per Class?
« on: July 06, 2016, 10:49:35 pm »
Hello everyone!

I'm trying to replicate the "You must have an existing character of at least level 55 on any realm to create a Death Knight" message, however, for another class with different text shown.

I was able to achieve having the same message show. However, it automatically showed when I made the class Heroic server-side. My current issue is that both different classes have different requirements. So the same message can't be shown on these different classes.

Looking into GlueStrings.lua, this is where the message's text is being handled:
Code: [Select]
CHAR_CREATE_LEVEL_REQUIREMENT = "You must have an existing character of at least level 55 on any realm to create a Death Knight.";

What I don't know is where this message is defined exactly. Where does it tell the client to display the "CHAR_CREATE_LEVEL_REQUIREMENT" message for Heroic Classes? If I know where this is, I can easily create another one for the other class.

Here's an in-game view of what I'm talking about:

 - Message when creating a DK without meeting requirements:

 - Message I need to show when not meeting requirements on a DIFFERENT class, Demon Hunter:

Instead, the same message is displayed, so how can I have a different message shown per class?
I've already tried looking in a few places such as an 'Entire Solution' search server-side for "CHAR_CREATE_LEVEL_REQUIREMENT" and in CharacterCreate.lua/.xml and a few others.
I could be searching for the wrong thing, but any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Deathorous.

Serverside Modding / [TrinityCore 335] How To Make A Class Heroic?
« on: July 04, 2016, 05:18:19 pm »
Hello everyone!

I've created a new class and I was wondering, how is it possible to set the class as a heroic class?
I'd like to do this for 2 reasons:

1) The class is supposed to be a Heroic Class, special.
2) I need to set a level limitation to be able to play the class.

My main goal is somehow to make this heroic class (Class ID: 12) different from the DK heroic because DK requires a level 55, while my new class will require another level 90 character in order to play or create the class.

Is this a client-side or server-side, or maybe even both?
I'm running on TrinityCore 3.3.5a. If anyone has any ideas, it's appreciated.

Thanks,
Deathorous.

Lately I've created my own character creation screen for my server completely from scratch in order to have something unique.
So I came up with a few ideas and I've finally put it all into work. I've tried replicating the zooming in feature during customization too.

Below is a video showing both character creation screen options and a comment/vote here or on the YouTube video itself for which screen you prefer or would like to see released, would be very much appreciated.

Recruitment / [PAID] New Races From Creature Files
« on: March 05, 2016, 02:19:21 am »
I'm looking for developers who can turn regular WoW creature models/files into a fully playable race.
I've already done so with a different developer these kinds of things and if he goes online as often as he used to, I'm sure he'll vouch me as a trustworthy person for payments and agreements.

Here are a few images of our previous work that is yet to be released (This type of work is what I'm looking for):

Jinyu & Ogre (WoD Version + Female Model Custom Created)

The resulted work must be all new race files and DBC edits fully completed.[/U]
I can provide any of my DBC files needed (I know just what's needed too, to provide).
I can only provide my payments through PayPal and I'm a very flexible person. I'd be willing to negotiate between prices and offers of any kind. I'm not the kind of person where if I hear a price too high or too low, I will immediately leave, instead, I can negotiate.

:!:  :!: ALL paid work done between me & the developer stays ONLY between me and the developer. NO shares, NO releases. :!:  :!:

Recruitment / [TrinityCore 335 Eluna] In-Game Item Store
« on: January 16, 2016, 01:04:13 pm »
Hello everybody!

Lately I've been thinking of some new ideas and I thought of creating an in-game item store. I don't have the knowledge to do so on my own, so I decided to recruit new developers just for this one project. If the job's well done, maybe future projects too.

The Idea & Design
There would be a simple button placed in game and on your character selection screen that opens an in-game UI (all working) item store. It would be simple where there would be 3 Panels.

 - [Panel 1] | This is the panel placed on the top of everything (like the top of your browser). This panel has a "X" button to close the in-game item store, and also on the far-left of the panel (which is the top-left of everything), you'd have something that informs that user of how much DP/VP the account has in total.
 - [Panel 2] | This panel is placed on the left-side where you can select which topic/category are you shopping in. Ex: Mounts, Weapons, Armor, Off-Sets, etc...
 - [Panel 3] | This panel is the main panel that's placed in basically the center of everything (except there is no right panel, so Panel 2 is basically in the center/right). Once you selected your category to shop in, you can select a class in Panel 2. Once a class has been selected, all items that are class-limited/specific would be shown in the same Panel 2. Which is most armor/weapon/off-sets would be class-specific. You can also pick "All Classes".

In short words, you'd have 3 panels...
Panel 1 is a simple heading tab that closes the item store and shows your account's VP/DP.

Panel 2 controls the category to shop in.
Panel 3 displays all the items based on the category and selected, if selected.

Image of the general idea:

So far, all I have is a clickable icon that represents the item store (highlighted when hovered on):

As far as I see, this would require a lot of client-side lua/xml.
Possible, or most probably C++ for a little, but I'm not sure in total what this would require.
So I'd say if you think you can help or contribute to this project somehow, then by all means, feel free to contact me (contact info below).

For the most part though, I'd expect it requires lua, xml, C++, and since I have an eluna-TC core, if server-side lua is required, that wouldn't be an issue.

If you're interested in this project, please contact me on my Skype: Waseem9116
We can discuss payments too, if required.

Thank You!

Miscellaneous / [SOLVED] [WotLk] Character Select Background UI
« on: January 11, 2016, 09:15:47 am »
Hello everyone!

I'm trying to add in a new background for my new class, Demon Hunters.
I was able to add in their background for my Character Creation and it looks fine (image below).

However, after creating the class from char-creation, it ends up looking like the race's background instead of the new class background (image below).

In GlueParent.lua, doing this alone (code below) doesn't do anything:
Code: [Select]
if ( name == "DemonHunter" or name == "DEMONHUNTER" ) then
name = "DemonHunter";
end

I decided to look at a reference and looked into EoC from Stoneharry's release (credits to him for the following code).
He's put in CharacterCreate.lua the following code under the function "SetCharacterRace(id)":
Code: [Select]
-- Set background
local backgroundFilename = GetCreateBackgroundModel(faction);
if CharacterCreate.selectedClass == 11 then
backgroundFilename = "DEMONHUNTER"
end
SetBackgroundModel(CharacterCreate, backgroundFilename);

if faction == nil then
faction = "Alliance";
end

It seemed to work fine for only the Character Creation screen, not the Character Selection.
(I understand why it says selectedClass == 11 | So no need to go over that).

I tried copying that code and changing where it says "CharacterCreate" to "CharacterSelect", but that just makes the background not show anywhere at all.

Any ideas on what the code should be, and where in specific should it be added?
All I'm trying to do is add in a custom/new background for a class. I'm capable of adding it only into the Character Creation screen only with the help of Stoneharry's code. However, the Character Select screen, I'm not aware of how to get that to show there, for class-specific only.

My class is only available to Blood Elves and Night Elves. Class ID = 12. selectedClass would = 11 because it's the 11th class displayed on the character creation screen.

Any help would be great,
Thanks for your time!

Recruitment / [LFM] Animators (To create WoTLK-like cinematics)
« on: November 15, 2015, 11:46:36 pm »
Hello everyone.

I'm looking for Blizzard-like animators (such as the WoTLK cinematics, not the recent high-quality WoD+ cinematics). Don't be mistaken, I'm not referring to the client-side work needed to add in a new cinematic. I'm referring to creating the animated video itself.

The cinematic video will end up being around 2 - 3 minutes long. Nothing very long.

This would be a payed job. I can only support payments by PayPal. Payment will only be paid after the work is complete. The amount (in U.S Dollars) for the payment will be discussed.

If you're capable of doing such things, please do contact me on Skype.

Hello!

Since Cataclysm, when you click on a class in the character creation screen, it plays an animation based on the class picked. So for example if you pick a Warrior, the race will Roar 1 time. If you pick a Mage or Warlock, the race will cast a ranged spell.

I want to do something similar or exact on WoTLK.
I've looked through all the FrameXML and GlueXML files in Cataclysm, but I couldn't find a solution.
So my guess is that this isn't made through lua/xml? (ofc not xml, but lua, I would have thought so).

I've tried Google, and a Blizzard forum post was made by some user who said to use the following code:
Code: [Select]
Model:SetAnimation()However, that code didn't work out (I did put in a number of an Animation in the "()", Ex:
Code: [Select]
Model:SetAnimation(74);This is the forum I looked at: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/8569600188

If anyone can help me set a spell cast or animation based on a class selection for WoTLK 3.3.5, then that would be amazing!

Thank You.
