As WoD has 61 times more models with physics than MoP, I took a look at .phys files again and just finished documenting pretty much all it.

Next step: modify existing models.

Step after: add dummy physics to some other model.

All the tools are still on wotlk, its going to take ages for us to even do anything with it. :(

The Schlumpf doesn't need tools, the tools needs him.

Problem with the tools is that they are utter shit and when trying to rewrite them to a better state, people complain about missing updates, thus no updates happen. Also, demotivation due to huge time investment with no profit. Thus, update them yourself, or meh.

When did this become PROFITcraft?

When I dropped interest in doing world builds or any modding at all, thus no longer need the tools myself. Before, being able to do stuff was the profit, obviously.

That's been a physics-demo-only char. Try #2707.

Wow, this is really interesting, physic in WoW.

I hope we can do something awesome with this.
There is a simulation or something like that, for watching the Blizzard domino physic engine ?
Edit : i can see on google, Diablo 3 use this engine too, not sure about that.

And, mop phys and wod phys are the same structure, or more chunks in Wod ?

Yes, it is the same engine. Note that that's only the same engine, not the same file formats. There is no known out-of-client sandbox besides the internal Axe. The files are the same in MoP and WoD, except for that they renamed everything and added Legacy in front of everything. I have not yet found anything not-legacy.

For a little sneak on what you may expect in WoW soon:

It was amusing enough to play the WoD beta whilst still downloading most of the content. Without the physics downloaded those shoulders would go all over the place, somewhat like graphical artifacts.
