Well that sounds like some new combat system which could be working. Interresting idea.

Yeah, I've been really hoping to re-imagine all of World of Warcraft's systems with my Shard ruleset.

That would be really cool. Good work so far buddy, keep at it.

Ported Alpha Ironforge over to 3.3.5a, not much of a technical achievement but still a nice thing to have. I'll give it out if someone has some special need for it. Few pics: https://imgur.com/a/QThiJ

I've removed vertex shading due to the issue in my thread. It looks alright but it could be more atmospheric with vertex shading. Hopefully that issue will get resolved soon enough.

Hello, just decided to showoff my WIP with NoggIT making it slightly compatible with WoD.

Current working features:
--------------------------------------------------------
Raising/Lowering - 20% working.

3D Painting - 40% working.

Holes - 20% working.

Water - 0% working.

Shadows - 0% working.

Most M2s working.

Most WMO's & WMO doodads working.

--------------------------------------------------------

NoggIT crashes once reaching 3.8 gigs of ram usage.

I'll post again when I've made some more progress.

Out of curiousity, how much ram does your machine have?

Also, does it clear information from ram when you leave a map?

I currently only able to use 8gigs due to my mobo.

I'm not sure what you mean by loading, if you mean does it keep loaded adts when you've lefy them then yes it does keep the map loaded.

I think he means if it keeps them in RAM even if you entirely leave a map (not just those ADTs) and go into another project.

Were you thinking about mouse cursors? Blizzard has the whole mouse cursor circle shown on the terrain, not like our horizontal one in the air. That would be great, especially for texture painting.

Afaik noggit isn't unloading any loaded stuff even in 335 versions.
So you have to make somethimg to unload it yourself but anyway nice work sofar.

Crashing at 3.8GB usage makes it sound like it's hit the limits of 32-bit memory addressing (~4GB). To go higher it needs to be 64-bit.

Does noggit make use of model instancing at all? It'd help immensely for all zones, but it'd improve performance for forested areas in particular. On my machine Noggit is nearly unusable in Elwynn, STV, etc.

Well until I get a new motherboard I can't really test past it using 3.8GB and I'm on a 64-bit I'm running with a 4.2ghz eight-core but sadly my mobo caps at 8GB unlike my old mobo that went up to 32...

#2 Iindigo
Not that I'm aware of  but I do agree it would help there are still big areas of Draenor that I need to have M2s turned off otherwise NoggIT will crash... I've also stumbled upon some corruption on loading some ADTs even if they are empty and NoggIT is only using 300MB it crashes so I'm looking into that.

#3 Amaroth
No it doesn't keep them in the RAM I always flush my RAM after a crash.

#4 Amaroth
Yeah I might change one of the pointers or just add one that looks like Blizzard's cursor.

If you understood AIO once, developing isn't that hard anymore.
In the end, it was good to change from GATE to AIO.

To support more AIO developing, i created a Pull Request at the AIO git with an example of our Sidebar + empty window on button click.

Current incarnation of the training frame that me and Kaev have been hard at work on, with awesome help from Rochet2. Wish I could find a world builder, lol.

Been working on using instance scripting to make a working player housing system.  So far it's working good, once finished I plan to release it to everyone.
