Tutorials / Re: [TUTORIAL] Minimaps« on: July 04, 2016, 02:52:46 pm »Quote from: "Chaya_1987" Where are my fail? I think your problem is this: In your folder they are named islandgeneric_0_0.blp, in your md5Trs you have islandgeneric0_0.blp so it is probably not finding the files cause the names dont match. 4

Resources and Tools / Re: [RELEASE:Map] [WotLk] Darkmoon Faire Island Template« on: July 04, 2016, 05:58:51 am »Quote from: "megamoocow" I have taken fresh ADT's and injected the Heightmaps from Cataclysm Darkmoon Faire Island and created a generic island template. This comes with no models and works in WoTLK 335a stock and Noggit. I have also included allwater.exe and the batch file encase you want to modify ocean type and levels for any of your maps. That is awesome dude! Would love to know how you did it! 6

Yeah I am super excited about this piece of software also. I love noggit, but it has become so hard to work with sometimes. Wish I was verse enough with programming to be of assistance, but I am not. So I can just cheer it on from the side lines.

Showoff - what you are working on / Re: [SHOWOFF] What Are You Working On« on: March 10, 2016, 11:47:27 pm »Quote from: "stoneharry" Something small I wanted to showoff, a scaling health based on the number of nearby players: That is pretty awesome! Though I see problems with it scaling up just on nearby players, as people could just hang out and make it harder for groups to kill whatever has that scaling. 8

This was also more of my thoughts. I can shape land and texture quite well, but I just hate doing it. I would much rather be 'putting the world together' than trying to make sure the texture on such and such hill is perfect, which feels like all I do. So having a program I can drop my map into and get my basic textures applied would be great. Like he said this isnt an "instant complete map" just a basic tool for speeding map creation up a bit. I would still have to go back and tweak everything to my liking. 11
Showoff - what you are working on / Re: [SHOWOFF] What Are You Working On« on: September 08, 2015, 05:41:53 am »Quote from: "Morfium" I spent some time working on a world map generator. Since I'm pretty bad at mapping myself I wrote an application that can fill a map with randomly generated terrain. Love it! Hope you finish it! Don't think this is lazy at all. It is a great quality of life improvement for people who like building maps but are not so fond of terrain building and texturing. I love building maps, but I hate trying to do textures. 12
Getting started the WoTtLK tutorial / Re: 10 - Add a full new map from scratch« on: September 20, 2014, 11:12:30 pm »Quote from: "axel0099" [attachment=0:2ghenvyp]Temp_0_0(2).rar[/attachment:2ghenvyp] You are my hero right now. This bug/corruption in Noggit has made me quit modding for some time now. It just got so annoying trying to work and this happen with all my maps when I get them in game >.> Going to give this a go on my 3 day vacation haha 13

Texturing and 2D Art / Re: [SOLVED] Lighting on textures, ADT bug« on: December 14, 2013, 09:03:28 pm »Quote from: "kojak488" If you solved this then you should post the solution for others that see this thread and have the same issue. Yeah it would be nice to know what you did to fix this. It helps when people can search for a bug and fix it without having to start a new topic and wait for replies. Everyone wins. |
