In all honesty, I thought the same thing too, that I had other things better to do than adding the new models into 3.3.5a and I would just wait for someone to release them. However, that proved to be a waste of time as no one is willing to release them. Not that we are selfish or anything but because it isnt difficult to do, just a grindfest for the faces. However, if you invent a process like I did with Photoshop, the faces can be done, saved, and renamed from face set 1-23 ( average number of face sets) in about 2 hours. Couple that with about 1 hour or even less to port over the inital model and within 3 hours of work you can have a male or female model done. I managed to port over all the models with faces in 5 days ( could have been done in 2 days if I constantly worked but I hate grinding and repetitive actions so I took breaks). So all I'm saying is, instead of offering money, why not just do it yourself. It's the best option plus you have the source models if something is off like say... the lower tabard is not lined up properly.

Easy my friend, I have virtually no time.  I am parent who works in a not so well apid job, study at night.   I only have time in saturday afternoon every two weeks,  I post this messages in my work.   virtually the only place i have some time off.

So yea, I have no time to do this.  And money is the only thing I can offer since I dont have time.   AGAIN I am not offering money by any way to keep something for myself ut to offer it to the public.

But yea... I guess thats my situation.

Even if you dont agree with my point, thanks for doing what you do.  :)

It's my first time playing with the WoW and modding something. Yes, i never done this before.

But... this is wath i got now:

Scourge still having some problems with the mouth.

And the bones with the female Scourge. but a small detail and i don't care x_x

And of course, the Draenei Male

And Female

Bonustrack: A NE Elsa  8-)

Hehe. Just that.

The Female Draeneis lost a lot of hairstyles. Like another models... :C

Hi guys I know it's WotLK topic but a Konattchi modded these models so they work in Cata too. My biggest problem and others too is they messed the NPC's hair styles mostly and they are causeing a lot of WoWError. Somebody said the topic this "you can make NPCs use old models just create new CreatureModelData and CreatureDisplayInfo entries" so can anybody help us with this? Nobody responsing in that topic sadly. Thanks for the info.

I don't think the hairstyles missed are crashed wow or something, maybe is a anim lost. This happend to me a lot of times!

About the hairstyles, u can delete some texture with blender, using this:

viewtopic.php?f=59&t=8864

Or u can reducing the polygons manually in blender.

That's all ^^!

Not the Character's hairstyles. The NPC's, they are still using the old models and hairstyles but now their hair trying to use the new models hairs and breads but they cant. The most bugged NPCs are Dwarfes Humans Orcs and Bloodelves and maybe this problem causing a lot of wow error. That's why somebody said to create new CreatureModelData and CreatureDisplayInfo entries for the NPC's so they can use the old hairstyles and etc

If they are displaying the new hairstyles that means it's the new models just that you guys didn't convert and set the HD npc textures in creaturedisplayinfoextra.dbc.

As for the crashing could be the animations since the patches I've seen don't keep the models named _HD they use the old model animations along side the new one therefore causing the crash.

Also just a heads up there are over 15k npcs that use player models in wotlk, you wouldn't need to make new entires because 1 good luck with that and setting up all 15k+ textures in creaturedisplayinfoextra and connecting them to creaturedisplayinfo 2 you just have to change the id of that model to the new id of the new entry in creaturemodeldata but do keep in mind that just doing a mass replace with x to y is not the way to do it because you will just replace anything that includes x.

wow

I just downloaded this ( viewtopic.php?f=93&t=8881 ) did everything what he said and got these problems. The NPCs are using the old models except the hair and now they are buggy. (their hair are blackened glassy and buggy and some of them's bread too. This is my only problem but i'm completely noob at modding atm so wow. :D

And what if I just only want to fix the NPC's so they can use the old models? I'm browsing lines in creature display info and model data but can't find the correct lines for the NPC hairs also don't know what to do If I find them. If I delete the line it will use the basic data or just crash? Maybe I should add some entries in the info and data that refers for the old models?

Thanks for helping me anyway.

Also here are some shots about my problem.

These are the most annyoing, the Bloodelves the others are better but if I could manage to fix them would do with the others too.

Edit:

I messed up couple of hours. The guy who created the mod put the old models and anims for NPC-s in the patch too. Overwrote them and the NPC's started to use the WoD models but they lacked some textures, lip colors eye fingernail etc. ( messed with the Bloodelf Female only )

Well those models are the old ones using the old hairstyles just so you know hairstyles are part of the model.

What I do see is the model using the HD hair textures which is really unavoidable due to the fact that npcs use player models and their hair textures, so if I were you I'd just either let it be or learn how to mod and replace the old with the new and add in all the bloodelf npc textures and then add them into creaturedisplayinfoextra.dbc.

Other wise you're stuck with this "problem" I mean you could also just not use the HD models if it bothers you that much.
