So I'm trying to get these ground effects to show up pretty much EVERYWHERE, and so I've set the amount on max, but I don't want it to only appear in these patches.



I want them to be just one giant ass fuckin patch of grass across the ADT.

Is this achievable?

Yeah so, I'd like to re-position some strings on my item displays (e.g. moving "Item Level %d" or "Requires Level %s" to be above the "Soulbound" text). I can't seem to find it anywhere in the luas or xmls, so I'm assuming it's hardcoded. In which case, how exactly would I go about modifying it?

See that gray text of a different spell description all the way across the tooltip? Yeah...

It started doing this after my last edit, and it's not just this spell or this description, it's a bunch of random spell descriptions on each spell. No idea what's causing it. Nothing that I can think of may have caused this so if anyone has any suggestions?

Btw: The edit was done in the Spell.dbc

In any of the talent trees, you will see this message in a spell's description before having sufficient points spent in that tree:

"Requires 5 points in ____ Talents"

In what way would I go about modifying that value to require a different quantity of points?

Is it DBC, Hard-coded, or what?

Serverside Modding / [QUESTION] Spell.dbc - SpellFamilyFlags problem

Okay, so I understand how the FamilyName and Flags works. They are used in the 9 EffectSpellClassMaskA through C columns to connect spells.

I've searched through the DBC and can't find what Spell connects to "Shield of Righteousness" to convert Block Value into Damage.

I also can't find the spell that connects to hunter spells to make ranged spells cost ammo.

Is there anyone experienced with the Spell.dbc who can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or is it even located in the Spell.dbc? I don't know, please let me know.

A window containing this message pops up everytime I try to start WoW:

This happened after I tried opening WoW after having added my patch to my Data folder. The cause is due to one, if not several, of the LUA/XML files or TOC file that was included in the patch. After having removed the patch, the problem consists, yet no files in the entire WoW folder appear to be modified.

Questions:
• How do I get it back to normal?
• What in the LUA/XML or TOC is causing the problem, and how do I fix it?

Where would I need to go to do this?

I've done some searching of my own, but I'm not sure if it's in the DBC or in the LUA/XML files, or if in both. I don't know, anyone that possibly does feel free to let me know. Thanks.

The instruction at "0x007D74B6" referenced memory at "0x25BB49E4".
The memory could not be "read".

From what I could gather from other posts, this seems to be a Grounddoodad problem, which makes sense considering I placed some ground doodad m2s such as bushes and tall grass on my ADTs via Noggit, instead of doing it the correct way (didn't realize).

Even if I go back and delete all the m2s I placed, the problem consists, so does anyone have a solution for me? I've seen plenty of fixes for this through the forum's search option, but none of which are very easy for a newcomer to understand.

Also, I can only delete the bushes, but the tallgrass m2 never appeared in Noggit anyways, so I can't actually target it to delete it. The problem may simply be that those tallgrass m2s are still there, but I have no way of deleting them as they are invisible (or possibly didn't even spawn). Really not sure, total noob to Noggit.

EDIT:
Also, are the bush m2s even apart of the problem, or is it just the grass?

Is there any way to get more brushes, or change the style of the brush? Circle is nice and all, but sometimes you need other brushes to get it the way you want it.
