Okay i read all of that and i love it , the part with the armies of thieves and freed slaves sounds alittle bit like game of thrones tho I really wanted to make it up an other way but dwarven are a very complicated race. The thing is that up in the north there is some very big area left and i soon came up with the idea of some kind of rebellion or such. But dwarven will never start a rebellion. They are a people that is very much focused on honor (and greed well) and starting a rebellion against the king / chief of your clan would dishonor you and your family that much that no dwarf would ever start one Then i thought of some sort of terrorist dwarven sponsored by Maschorax Ogrom. But again there was that family based honor complex of the dwarven - who would betray his clan and his people for some gold of an other (not accepted) king? So as you can see: The hostile group located on the northeast can´t be of a dwarven origin. And as the wife of the crazy king was human cultures are mixed up - and humans could have brought their slaves and/or slave system up in the kingdom of Dylikawi. If you got a better idea please go ahead

Because somethings are used in other places, DBC's, Mounts, Vehicles, Core Side so overwriting them can cause some unintended issues. We are using the WoW Client after all. Now on a side note: While we will be leaving all the XXX_Template entries, the actual Blizz spawns will be removed. I'm in the process of removing Spawns and then cleaning up all the console errors that are popping up.
On my 4 year old PC, I have the server start time down to 7 seconds...
So there is a method to the madness here. good to know. My local testserver just took about 5secs as i emptied nearly all tables

Shruik 20yrs old student. Well i´ve been working with arcemu for 5 years but changing to trinity database shouldn´t really be a big problem. Also i know some things about DBC stuff but these are just basics (adding and item so that you can really use it as a weapon etc.).

Have fun:
The dwarven kingdom formerly was reign by Snagroki Redgut. While he was king the northern Kingdom of Stoja was a region that lived in peace. As King Redgut died he gave the power to his so called council of the north. This council helped him his life long and was formed by three men: Maschorax Ogrom, Gripir Thergrem and Levom Gorimm. As the king had no children it was now up to these three to reign the kingdom. Within the week after the kings funeral they wanted to set up a contract to reign the kingdom as they were thought by Snagroki but in the night of the funeral an assassin tried to murder Gripir Thergrem. Many evidence lead towards Maschorax Ogrom who is known as a greedy man but it could never be proven. As a result of this Gripir Thergrem left the council claiming the north-eastern part of the island, where his castle stands as well, as his region and swearing one day to vengance the failed murder. Now Levom Gorimm and Maschorax Ogrom set up a peace contract dividing the rest of the land between the two of them. When Levom Gorimm heard that Gripir has called his men to arms and wanted to attack the northern Kingdom called Orsoz he traveled to the city of Hrisar that is the home of Gripir. He tried to convince his old friend of stoping the attack of Vluruménk ,the city of Maschorax, but he only replied that he´d crush the town of this bastard who tried to kill him at the funeral of his beloved king. Furthermore Gripir asked Gorimm to accompaign him into battle. But as he stands by his word he refused to fight either Gripir nor Maschorax and just assured Gripir that he´d always be there as his friend; but never as a warrior against other dwarven families. These events led into what was later called the glacial war. As Vluruménk was protected by the mountain chain dividing Stoja into two the armies of both kings had to march nearly two monts before even seing each other. During this time the army of king Thergrem conquered nearly 1/4 of king Ogrom´s land as well as the castle of Brautarholt that is situated east of Vluruménk and of the mountain chain. In the final battle at the northern plains a heavy storm came up and made the battle much more difficult then both of the kings ever thought of. As both sides lost nearly all of their men during that cruel night the kings but also their men took this as a sign of the gods that dwarven should never fight against other dwarven armies. At the neutral city of Vromir , home of Levom Gorimm in Batacudir, a peace contract was signed that also set up a fix frontier between the two northern kingdoms. Until today peace remained but both of the northern kings still hate each other and their personality changed in a negative way. While Gripir Thergrem was always criticised by his people for marrying a human woman and introducing human culture to their country he now also became a real book lover but also developed a cult of his person by thinking he would be touched by the gods. Maschorax Ogrom, former bursar of the king, soon discovered that a lot of gold was in the mountains of his kingdom and started to exploit the mountains to become richer then every king before him. As Vluruménk was in the total west and Hrisar was in the total east of the kingdom a third force was born between the two northern Kingdoms. The former mercenary Drovarg one day killed the high-lord of the independent mercenary army and claimed himself to be the man who will free Dylikawi of his fool king Thergrem. His army composed of thieves, mercenaries and freed slaves has his Fort somewhere in the plains of Dylikawi and gatheres their force to one day strike against the king.
Things Tom already mentioned: The crazy kings could be part of the dark cult.

Well, I have nothing against, I just want some races to be better at one kind of class and other races to be better on another. Like we will have Dwarfes for example and in every film, game or so, they are good with axes, so in game we may support this way, so they will rather become melee warrior, then any kind of shaman or so.
Got a point there and i was a little tired yesterday Like old powerfull mage will have it's own cottage somwhere alone in the forest.
That was basicly what i thought of as well. But we´d have to decide rather "quick" then to let the builders implement such places. this is getting better and better! Every wow player i talked to about this are like whaatt..... when is this thing coming out they ask?
well also i got some basic bg idea's
[attachment=0:mcbc7wbl]BG Porôgar copy.jpg[/attachment:mcbc7wbl]
it's a 20v20 fight to last stand bg the only way to other side is the scar. along side the scar you have a place where ppl can go when they're losing and activate traps to blow away enemy's. Zerg fan? This would be like an AV without any tactics... Oh wait: People already play AV without any tactics

[...] 1. Player will choose from various Cultures (Humans, Elfs, Dwarfs, ...).
Accepted 2. Player will choose race (e.g. Nomads - Human with darker skin, some more survivability, can be later trained as good warriors or archers)
I don´t like the idea of races that are predestinated to become a special class. A bonus on a tradeskill or such ok but in my opinion every race should be able to have any class. 3. You don't decide your class at char creation.
If it´s possible to realise that i´m fine with it - as already said in skype 4. You start with just few simple abilities (Melee, maybe some race-related abilities) and without any kind of power.
In combination with 3) that´s a must have 5. After initial quest line, where you will be more like a traveler and will try to get into storyline, you will be in some way offered to pick up some class (probably you will able to choose from some rewarded weapons and as you gain skills with them, they will offer to get into class, which uses that weapon the most - like if you choose staff and will learn to fight with it, you will get chance to become wizard, same as with two-handed axe or sword, you will get chance to become brutal melee warrior).
sounds good to me. A thing we´d have to talk about is wheather (i hate this word; hope it´s spelled properly) all classes will be lead to one central city or if there are kind of "universities" or castles for each class to train - and they get to bigger cities as they finished their noobie training. 6. After you choose class, you will be offered to travel to master of your class to teach few base spells. When you arrive to the master, he will let you teach 3 base spells, one of each "ability tree" (e.g. for wizard, you will be able to choose from frost, fire or lightning) and after this decision, you will be offered only to learn abilities from that "ability tree" (means you will nto be able to learn frost spells with fire wizard - for me at makes better sense). You will always learn base spells from quests (while you can also get some from books or so), while you will be able to choose different spells to learn from master (like you will be able to choose between castable spells, instant spells and DoT spells - but not everytime you will be able to choose, some spells will not differ for players. Idea of this is to make people think of unique builds, which more adapt to their play style. Ofc it will be hard to balance classes, but process of balancing is the easier (or at least funnier) one, then the whole creation.
"it will be hard to balance classes" - all i have to say 7. You will gain ranks as much as you "skill" your spells - ofc by using them. You will have some decent chance to get skillup point by using spell and after certain amount of skill points (which will be increasing with spell rank) you will receive new spell rank. Spell ranks will have some maximum, like your current level * 2. (So at level 6, you will be able to get rank 12). Not all spells will be skillable probably, as we don't want people to blindly farm up spells - only those, which you were able to choose will be skillable, other ones will get boost as your level increase.
Sounds quite interesting - but is it possible? 8. Level up will require to have few spells at some rank (maybe not maximum rank - it's up to you, how much you will use your abilities). If doing so we could even think of a skyrim like leveling system: Quests "only" give rewards such as items or gold, mobs give no xp and only "skill level ups" give a certain amount of xp. This way you have to have for example 10 "skill level ups" for one "real" level up. (But at skyrim you were able to grind the fuck out of the game by skilling blacksmithing 9. BAN HYBRID CLASSES! Sorry for caps In my opinion a healer class is supposed to heal - not to tank! So i´m totally against hybrid classes.

Levelcap and the concerning things would be really important in my opinion as i already planned several quests and the rewards (specially experience) has to be set at some point too. (As i don´t want to add the experience to hundreds of quests afterwards ).

@Stats. How about such a thing: http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.ph ... u=11238463 ? That would be awesome, that being said, its more than possible, I just have no clue how to do it. That is beyond my set of skills. Now, if the one who designed that would release a guide on how to do it or even the source files, i would gladly attempt it.
Maybe we could simply ask the guy who made it if he would share his know-how with us. The pic is from some project shown in the forums here.
