I don't know anything about animation, but poor guy's been asking it everywhere :/ maybe when I learn how to do it I'll try to port this, but right now I have other priorities...

33
The last time I tried to change them, they looked fine, but there was 2x their size invisible walls around them :/

Found a bug in Stormwind, the lions are missing (idk if only for me or anybody else)

Yeah, I used the same up-ported files with both 4.3.4 and 5.4.8 and they worked, I just had to use an appropriate dbc for them :) I started with this video: https://youtu.be/KjZZbdC9xPI and another one about downporting models from Legion :) It's really not hard, and I'd like to release it when I finish it, but you can try to do it too and see, who finishes first haha  ;D

I only used your files, except the dbcs :) Haven't tried downporting from Legion, maybe I'll try that haha ;D Actually the 600+ files were not only m2s, but skin files too (around 251 m2s and 600 skin files). I ran the script in batches of 5-10 (you have to run separately on every file though), so it didn't take too long, it only was monotone  :-\

Hello, I tried these models, they are amazing! I love how complete they are, thank you! Any idea when these will be done for Cataclysm 4.3.4 (I think this is the wrong thread to ask such thing) ? I assumed it can be done as they work flawlessly for an even older pack than cata.  :)

EDIT: Or is it possible by any chance to edit WOTLK files so Cata can run them? Not sure if it is affected by new race-class combos...

It is possible, I ported a previous version and the Legion creature models, and it works, but there are some textures missing due to using a different dbc.You can't use the same dbc file, because 4.3.4 and 5.4.8 (what I tried too) uses it differently. If you search on youtube and google, you can find PhiliptheNoobModder's 010 scripts to up-port any m2 and skin file from 3.3.5 to 4.3.4+ :) (I did it manually with all the 600+ m2 and skin files, if anyone knows a better solution, please tell me). If you use any previous WoD charactermodels mod's dbc (for 4.3.4), these models and the Legion creaturemodels will show, but you have to edit the dbc manually, and add all the unlinked textures.

is there a way to add the foam to the edges of the water, like in real cata+ water?

Hm, I never experienced glitches like this... if you use the 2D portrait, it shows only the face of the undead male, like on every other model :)

Did you ask about this issue on the ElvUI backport github?

DBC / DB2 / DB modding / [MoP] DBC Errors
« on: May 25, 2017, 09:45:46 pm »
Hi all! Currently I'm having a problem with 5.4.8 dbcs... When I try to open them in mydbceditor, I get an invalid filesize error. What program can I use to modify the dbcs? I tried WDBX Editor but it won't open the dbcs either. I didn't know which topic to put this thread into  :-\

Random / [MoP] working FreeFarSight for modded client?
« on: May 16, 2017, 02:12:29 pm »
Hi guys!

Do anyone know, how to get working the machinima tool FreeFarSight, with a modded version of the game? I tried it with the 5.4.8 client, and it doesn't work :(

43
isn't it already in the patch? only the other version of the model with the skull on their heads

44
Most random mobs like wolves and spiders became smaller :/

Also, it works with Cataclysm too. Without the dbc edits a lot of stuff became blue cubes. If I'll fix everything, I'll post the upports to this thread :)

45
I managed to port this to 5.4.8 and everything seems to be working :) there are some missing textures here and there, but I just copied the dbc from the WoD models, so I have to add your textures to the mod to be fully working :) http://imgur.com/a/dCsCy maybe I'll try this with Cataclysm too... The previous version of the charactermodels were working with a WoD cata mod dbc (missing textures ofc), so this should be working too.

Also the voidwalker has a weird particle-effect... how can I up-port that?
