[RELEASE] [Classic] WOD character models for 1.12
« on: October 09, 2016, 08:55:18 pm »
This includes all playable races and npcs.

https://www.mediafire.com/?v107ncj1j27x85x

Known bug:
-weapon sheath animation not working

Thanks to Koward and the others for great tools, tutorials and mods out there.
Special thanks to leeviathan who fixed most of the bugs

Note: for modders, if you want to remove the druid forms just delete the creature folder and CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc and CreatureModelData.dbc

UPDATES:
04/07 2017: leeviathan fixed some npc and troll hair, I renamed the patch to patch-3 and made only 1 version for the sake of simplicity.

04/05 2017: final update probably. leeviathan fixed drain animations, tabards, UD facial features like dark eyes and improved models at the same time.
Only bug left should be the weapon sheath animation.

11/19: leeviathan's magic strikes back! Cone of cold fixed

11/16: leeviathan's fixes to the npc and charsections dbc: probably no more black npcs and fixed taurens and scalps. Thanks to him! Fixed a bugued NE female face and improved bald human male textures.

10/15: Improved Cone of cold animation, fixed some Troll male hair UVs

10/10: Emotes sounds fixed, UD scalps added, resize travel form

This includes all playable races and npcs.
Also some druid forms from legion

http://www.mediafire.com/file/k9tojac6nd9996g/

Known bugs:
-weapon sheath animation not working
-missing sounds on emotes like laugh, cry, kiss, chicken.
-every undead has glowing eyes

If someone knows how to fix those bugs let me know!
I might make a version without the druid forms later to make it work with Uthil's patch when it's released.

Thanks to the Koward and the others for great tools, tutorials and mods out there.

I knew this would happen one day! :D :D :D. GOOD JOB! It works really well! Hopefully we can get some fixes on the whole weapon situation! Thanks so much!!

The weapon sheath/unsheath animation is bugged and Kowards tool need to be updated with fixes, tho koward already said me that hes not planning anymore to update/fix the tool, if anyone knows and wants hes repo is there and can get it and start debugging for fixes, plus the version of the tool is still BETA.

the missing sounds for laughs, cry etc is DBC work, tho not sure if it can be fully fixed since we talk for vanilla and we might not have that solution as i.e WotLK which can be fixed.

Undead glowing exists normally, unless you havent remove the DK glowing meshes from the eyes on every single model.

Overall great job going to test out.
Cheers and thanks

Cheers lad!

No issues found so far other than the stuff posted above.
The sound problem shouldn't be any problem to fix.

I'll try the dbc trick mentioned on the other thread then, thanks.

The undead glowing bug is about some faces that normaly don't have glowing eyes. Here all  faces have glowing eyes. I'm not sure how to fix it, it works when I port them to LK but not in vanilla.

Can you post a screenshot abut that glow effect ?! I would like to see it first and not telling hypothetically solutions.

Do keep in mind that if you use these in Vanilla, you HAVE to LAA your wow.exe or else your client WILL crash and you'll see tearing on models skin/clothing. (Large Address Aware)

Yes indeed. This is totally new bug you found. Create another topic if you like to see if anyone else has something to suggest on. Well this the 1st complete attempt having character models on vanilla after mine as beta so i didn't know about undead since i didn't work them yet, I had ready human, troll, tauren without texture of course.

Also i didn't had any crashes with original wow.exe in my mod or the alpha character models, the only things occur is if you lower graphic settings you get those light beams all over or then models start tearing.

the undead have proper sheathing and what not (tried on a lvl 1 undead warr), idk if that helps narrow it down.

Yep I've noticed this too thanks.

Maybe there's something to look for in the m2 before conversion?
comparing the UD males with some other bugged races with the m2 template in the 010 editor I couldn't find  noticeable differences in the attachments and events. I could share the files if someone want to help.

Confirmed, I'm not sure what's going on with them. I can't find them in the dbc... not sure how to fix.

I thought it was a conversion problem and redid all bakednpctexture conversion but it didn't work.
