Level Design / Alpha-mapping problem with textures

Gonna be brief:

- I took a pattern for alpha-maps. I went to noggit and deleted the textures and placed a dirt texture and grass texture.
- Went to FuTa, opened that ADT and injected the pattern on the first layer. (Note, I had Layer - 1 (Grass), Layer 2 (empty), Layer 3 (Empty))
- Went back to Noggit, the patterns worked! But, when I saw the textures, there were dirt - grass - dirt - dirt.

Why do two extra dirt textures appear in the vacant slots?

Please, can someone help?

Noggit / [Solved] Noggit is not importing my custom models!

I don't know where to put this problem I'm having, so I'll place it here. I've started to work on a project and it involves custom models. I was given the patch, I checked it through MPQ Editor and I found the models with their textures, so far so good! But, when I went into noggit in my custom continent, I went on WoWModelViewer and tried to find the models so that I can import them into Noggit. Couldn't find them. I had the patch put up on the list of MPQs that needed to be loaded once WMV started, but there weren't any models.

I decided to use the text file and import them from there, I know the path and the models were in the patch. I did so but no models showed up in Noggit. I tried several times with several different objects and nothing.

The WoW directory that Noggit uses has the patch with the models. I have everything setup, but I don't know why this isn't working. Could someone help out, please?

FuTa / [SOLVED] FuTa isn't loading WDL files

FuTa isn't loading the wdl template. I go to file, open, navigate towards the folder where I keep the .wdl file. I open it and it doesn't show the adt tree, I can't generate anything. Has anyone encountered this before, if so what did they do to fix it?

Level Design / How do I take EK's WDT?

So I've been meaning to edit something and seeing that EK has a lot of extra space that isn't used I wanted to add in adts using Taliis. However I'm met with a problem, I can't seem to find the the WDT of EK or Azeroth. Might be a noob question, because I am a noob, but how do I get Azeroth's WDT?

Noggit / [QUESTION] Why is WoW crashing?

Hello! I did an edit in Tanaris on a certain area.

As you can see there are some building missing. I know, I saved and they vanished, don't know how. This is the edit that when I use and come closer, WoW crashes with the following crash.

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program:   D:Program Files (x86)WoW 3.3.5Wow.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:007B31F8

The instruction at "0x007B31F8" referenced memory at "0x00000010".
The memory could not be "read".


I don't know why. Same with Tyr's hand. I tried to redo New Avalon, and used a whole bunch of terrain remakes. But realized that the lush green grass terrain can't  be applied to certain areas. So I did a massive redo with the original terrain. Compiled it, tested it, me and my friend crashed when neared Tyr's Hand. Same with the Port.

I did a Goldshire edit, with minimal texture usage and doodads. It worked perfectly. Tyr's hand had a lot of doodads, trees, bushes, fallen trees, hay... etc. While the Goldshire edit had a small well, a hay cart and a couple of fences. The port on the other hand has loads of tents and "cargo" underneath them. Also I used a road texture on the Port, couldn't apply to specific parts so I did a mass re-do. Again, crashing.

Note. I run a 3.3.5a clean version. ALSO do you have any idea why the buildings vanish?
