Level Design / Alpha-mapping problem with textures
« on: April 15, 2016, 03:23:11 pm »
Gonna be brief:

- I took a pattern for alpha-maps. I went to noggit and deleted the textures and placed a dirt texture and grass texture.
- Went to FuTa, opened that ADT and injected the pattern on the first layer. (Note, I had Layer - 1 (Grass), Layer 2 (empty), Layer 3 (Empty))
- Went back to Noggit, the patterns worked! But, when I saw the textures, there were dirt - grass - dirt - dirt.

Why do two extra dirt textures appear in the vacant slots?

Please, can someone help?

Noggit / [Solved] Noggit is not importing my custom models!
« on: April 14, 2016, 07:59:13 pm »
I don't know where to put this problem I'm having, so I'll place it here. I've started to work on a project and it involves custom models. I was given the patch, I checked it through MPQ Editor and I found the models with their textures, so far so good! But, when I went into noggit in my custom continent, I went on WoWModelViewer and tried to find the models so that I can import them into Noggit. Couldn't find them. I had the patch put up on the list of MPQs that needed to be loaded once WMV started, but there weren't any models.

I decided to use the text file and import them from there, I know the path and the models were in the patch. I did so but no models showed up in Noggit. I tried several times with several different objects and nothing.

The WoW directory that Noggit uses has the patch with the models. I have everything setup, but I don't know why this isn't working. Could someone help out, please?

------ Edit -------

The patch was in the wrong WoW directory :P

FuTa / Re: FuTa isn't loading WDL files

FuTa isn't loading the wdl template. I go to file, open, navigate towards the folder where I keep the .wdl file. I open it and it doesn't show the adt tree, I can't generate anything. Has anyone encountered this before, if so what did they do to fix it?

You can delete this! I replaced my FuTa folder with the original one from Steff's guide. It works now!

Haven't checked on my favorite modding tool since a coon's age! Anything new? Any updates? How far are you from releasing this monster?

Level Design / How do I take EK's WDT?
« on: June 21, 2015, 04:43:34 pm »
So I've been meaning to edit something and seeing that EK has a lot of extra space that isn't used I wanted to add in adts using Taliis. However I'm met with a problem, I can't seem to find the the WDT of EK or Azeroth. Might be a noob question, because I am a noob, but how do I get Azeroth's WDT?

I've implemented my idea of the creature editor GUI.
To make it easier for you, i've recorded a small video. :)

Oh sweet lord... that's amazing. Nice to see some progression! Always refreshing. A question: Did Cromon make progress with the moving and placing objects into the world?

Hey guys! Any updates these last couple of days?  :D
Since my mainboard broke a few days ago i have to wait for a new one.
I have no WoW installed on my laptop, so i started to continue the creature editor yesterday. Only need a MySQL server and the 3.3.5 database for that. :P

Oh wow, seriously? Well, I don't know what to say. If I had any experience or knowledge I would lend a hand, but sadly I'm not so bright with programming! Best of luck, really great that you haven't abandoned this yet!  ;)

Works great! The rendering is brilliant, the brush is absolutely amazing, never actually thought about that. There's one minor problem, whenever I find a model that I wish to place, it starts doing that "Not Responding" thing. I don't know why, I can't even remember what I spawned since it was eight days ago!
