TBC Alpha Blood Elf Model
« on: June 06, 2014, 02:32:51 am »
Anyone got this laying around? I've been searching it, even downloaded the friends and family TBC alpha. Though thee blood Elves didn't use the model and instead just a slimmer version of what we have now. That's not what I was searching for.

I'm looking for the other one. To me, the original original model looks similar to a Nelf, but modified. I think the city guards use something close to it.

Some pics of what I'm looking for:

Those were indeed reskins/tweaks of the night elf models. Unless I’m mistaken, they weren't in any alpha or beta released by Blizz, though. I can see why one might want them; though they’re lower poly their more dignified and stoic stance gives a different feel than the ones we have now.

Have you tried using night elf skeletons on the current blood elf (or thinner alpha) models? You might be able to get similar results that way.

Isn't that just the old placeholder model used for vanilla blood elves, looking like http://www.wowhead.com/npc=16325/queldorei-ghost?

Maybe there is a way to get the male model and textures.
The Blood elf guards still have the old pre alpha model based on Night elves. The only difference in their animations is the Stand movement.

You can actually take their texture and use it on the old 1.12 high elf/blood elf model. It should works, the pattern is the same.

Using the night elf skeleton with a blood elf model might be a better solution if it works, of course.

Yeah I think that’s the model, but the textures are different. Perhaps take modern blood elf textures and apply them to the placeholder models?

Those are some good ideas. Using the High Elf Model could work, but the problem I think is that the model has the armor glued to it. So if I used the High Elf robed model it'd appear she'd have a skirt instead of actual legs.

Using the NE skeleton on a BE sounds interesting. I'd try to figure that out.

Thanks for replying, guys.

The F&F TBC alpha female with Nelf animations is pretty much the original female.
The Male was vastly different. Luckily we actually have the male model.

The Blood elf guards use the original male model. You'd have to remove the armor though.

I thought this was about the F&F TBC Alpha Female.
It was thinner and different compared to the model female. I wish I could get it ported to 3.3.5

Is there any way to convert it to 3.3.5?

Wow, the old thinner models are so much more elven-feeling. Let’s hope that the new WoD Belf models are thinned down a bit.

HI!
That's the model, but not converted! Will be able to convert them to a version 3.3.5?
TBC Alpha-PreRelease, BE - Male & Female
and, in addition Vanilla-PreRelease, Human - Male & Female

There is no way to convert a TBC/Vanilla model to 3.3.5 yet, at least not a player model.
Hopefully someone finds a way.

These models would be good to have

This can be done with blender by just using the animations that exist in-game + animationporter.

The slimmer blood elves still have the same animations and alpha human animations still exists on old NPCs.

Unfortunately, that is incorrect. Only the slim males have the same animations. The slim female have several major animation differences(That I'd like). Furthermore, no npc carries the Alpha human animations. The npc animations far predates the Alpha human ones. The closest would be the UI_RS_Human, but that one only has stand, or the temporary Scarlet Worker. But there is no female.
