[Help!] Importing Parts of WMOs from WMV into Noggit
« on: August 17, 2014, 11:56:16 pm »
Hello. It seems normal WMOs work fine, but parts of wmos don't.

For example, WorldWmokalimdorthunderbluffdruidmesaa.wmo works fine, but WorldWmokalimdorthunderbluffdruidmesaa00.wmo does not. Is there a way to implement these WMOs? They are pieces of the entire WMO, but I just want the pieces. Any help?

Cause the pieces are exactly that, they're pieces of the wmo. It is like geosets/submeshes for .m2s. You can't have just 1 part, you need it all otherwise it will just crash your game. Best way would be to make a custom wmo of what you want.

Machinima Studio.  Load the specific .wmo part you want, export as obj, convert to .wmo or .m2 at that point.  Not terribly difficult.

Not terribly difficult.

I'd like to challenge you on that.  Since Machinima Studios isn't registerable anymore, they have abandoned the project and their key servers are no longer active.

Sure YOU Could do it but anyone that doesn't have a working copy of the program NOW won't be able to get it working, get it?

if you just wanted to use just the 000 file and not the 001 or 002, you could just edit the base wmo file, the one with no numbers, edit it in 010 editor with the wmo template and change the amount of wmo groups it possesses to 1, It's the MOGI struct.

I had to do this when I was figuring how to convert Cata/MoP wmo's since not all wmo's are created equally and that was the easiest way to solo edit/convert a buggy part than to scrub through the entire thing.

so if you wanted to see what was in 001, 002, you could modify how many groups it has to 2 and relog and see what else was added.

When you've figured out which one you want, just delete the others and rename it accordingly, like if you wanted the 002 part.. just set the base file to only use 1 group and rename the 002 to 000.

FYI Anthony, my full-version doesn't work anymore.  I thought you knew that from when I PM'd you about it.  The trial versions still work just fine though.  The only downside to the trial version is the 10 second wait, which there are ways around (without registering).

So I win the challenge, right?

Get it?  Fuck man, what crawled into your vag?  I know Paypal fucked you in the arse, but damn.
