Changing it from 1024 x 512 to 512 x 512 doesn't lower the quality of the textures. Oh and of course lowering the resolution of a picture changes it's quality. You are reducing the number of pixels in the face texture to 18.75 %, also you are changing the color mode to 256 colors max. hey thanks for clearing that up seems i have uv re-mapping work to do :|

Still not convinced, had to check out both version Actually there is a loss to texture quality, either by converting them with BLP converter or editing with PS LEFT - WMV alpha with WOD files RIGHT - WMV with cata/wotlk conversion http://imgur.com/vb72lUd,RAU2wOq,iUxk0qv,kANyWSW#0

with this conversion WOD to WOTLK or CATA, all models have reduced texture quality since we need to stretch them in PS? No
Weird, your comment on youtube confuses me...?! WoD uses different resolution for their models I.E the body is 1024 x 512 MoP supports this for the pandas all other expansions do not so that's why you have to make the resolution 512x512

wow dude, don't do this crappy method for mop !
uv mapping and blender part is only for cata and wotlk because some options are not included, like 1024x512 uv mapping and geoset limit
On mop you have just to :
Edit charsections.dbc Rename files without _HD Activate uv mapping 512x1024, like the pandaren hey which file i should edit to enable uv mapping 512x1024?

okay, almost finished one model, the process is alot more complex than i thought
from what i hear the conversion WOD > MOP is easier, care to make very quick steps tutorial?
planning to release all models, so everyone can use for machinima, 3ds MAX, maya etc..

It contains ChrRace.dbc, this dbc must be included in a locale patch and not in a general patch DELETE IT and do this :
Word Of WarcraftDataenUSlocale-enUS.MPQ should i delete ChrRace.dbc from locale-enUS.MPQ? i already build a mpq with fixed ChrRace.dbc but its not working
