Level Design / MCLQ not found
« on: January 18, 2012, 02:28:41 pm »
Hello.

I pulled some adts from Emerald Dream and extracted the alpha maps from one of them. Then I used noggit to retexture it, but when I tried to open the adt in Taliis again, I got errors telling me that it could not find MCLQ. Which to my understanding has something to do with water, and that doesn't make a lot of sense since there is very little water in Emerald Dream, and none was present or has ever been present on this adt.

Edit: I uploaded the wrong image, but it doesn't matter. Here I ran offset check on one of my old ads. I have trouble with holes punching through the borders of certian chuncks, some of you might remember my previous posts regarding this issue, I figure this could have something to do with it.

Noggit can still load it just fine, though.

Noggit / Noggit 3 lags in fullscreen mode
« on: January 06, 2012, 12:06:41 pm »
Hello.

I am having some issues with Noggit lagging quite severe in fullscreen mode. But it doesn't lag if I simple drag open the window to fit my entire screen. I have experienced similar problems before with 3d editing sofwares like C4D, but I have never bothered to figure out why. My knowledge in adapters and drivers is not very high.

Cpu usage is at 50-60% when the window is drag-opened to fit my screen. While in fullscreenmode it's using 98-100% all the time.

Noggit / Entire ADT got fucked up
« on: January 05, 2012, 07:49:53 am »
Hello.

I've spent 3 hours on one signe adt tonight, then I saved it, compurer froze, i reloaded the adt and it was gone. I ran offset-fix and it came back as a flat plain white square. (yes, i make backups. Got 500mb of backups on this single 6 adt project, but how the fuck am I supposed to backup something that messes up before I even get to save it?)

I hope this was a one-time occurance, and I am very glad that this is a free software. Thank god I don't have to pay for this shit.

Bugs pisses me off, but I understand that they are there. You've done a great job so far, but people must be allowed to get angry sometimes. This was a bug report, with rage.

I apologize if my post offends anyone, it is not my intention. I will continue using the software as there is no other (better) alternatives. Suggestions to everyone who are new to Noggit; Backup every single change you do. Save irregularly often. Prepare yourself for some frustrating moments, because you will eventually loose something you've spent a lot of time on.

Noggit / [SOLVED] [QUESTION] Weird tileset bugs? - Noggit3
« on: December 12, 2011, 08:09:37 am »
Hello.

I'm experiencing some weird bugs on the map I've created. First of all, it says I'm located on GM island, but I suppose this is an easy fix in the dbcs, don't mind that.

I have some images here, and yes the first image I can probably fix it by shaping them together in noggit. But the second image would prove more difficult as this appears all over the map. I've seen this many times and I can't seem to get rid of it. It disappears if I really smoothen the landscape a lot, cause it seems that curves like these are buged at random places. Take a look:

Screenshot one:

Screenshot two:

Screenshot one is quite self-explanatory. In screenshot two you notice those small dotted horizontal lines accross the landscape, those are holes that goes through the texture. Is this a known issue? Are there any fixes? Should I use a different version of Noggit? Really, what is this?

Running on:
Windows 7 Ultimate (x86)
Noggit3 r104 (Compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3)
No application errors.

Edit: I notice that the images are not clickable and you can't view them in full screen. So here's a link to the album > http://filebeam.com/album/10346 <

Thanks in advance

Noggit / [SOLVED] So I made and modified a map, but...
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:39:30 pm »
Hello.

I've created a map with Taliis, Continent Creator and Noggit. I added it to a patch and it loaded just fine, but the map appeared slightly buged to say the least. I then figured I had to do something to make it look as it did in Noggit. So well I opened noggit just to check, and it was now buged there too.. It seems as though the what do you call them? The red squares if you press f7, it seems as though they have switched places with eachother and looks quite random as well.

I ran the files through OffsetFix and RefrenceFix but it didn't help at all. The map looked fine as I was modifying it. I went through all the adts I had modified and saved each one of them (possibly saved some of them 2-3 times, just flew around and ctrl+s'd the whole thing). Then I made a patch, loged in game and it was messed up. I created a new WDT file for the ADTs but it didn't help at all.

So, here's a screenshot of how it looks in both Noggit and in-game.

Assistance on this issue would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
