I found it. In the MPQs (dunno which one, I rebuilt mine client from scratch to completely annihilate the obsoleted files, saves me 4GiB), /WTF/DefaultBindings.WTF.

Seems highly unlikely to me, seeing as every localisation has different default keybindings. I mean, it`s possible that they`re all hardcoded, but yeah.

I`m aware of that method, unfortunately it doesnt always work. Realistically the default binds /must/ be stored in some .xml file or .dbc or whatever, no? And you should be able to manipulate that. Guess I`ll have to go fishing myself.

Hello Dears,

simple question, is it possible to edit the default key bindings that ship with the game, and if yes, where?
It`s annoying that whenever I make a new account/try out a new server I have to spend 15mins customising those default binds, so it would save me a lot of time if I could just customise the default bindings into something more suitable to me.

Ok, so I found and edited the detailtip alright (the 'A proud member' blahbla part), but the Faction`s name by itself (Alliance/Horde) doesn`t seem to be defined in the GlobalStrings.lua, so where can I find that?

Hello,

quick and simple question as I don`t wanna be delvin` .dbcs for the rest of my life,
I`m looking for the location of the tooltips for the PvP-enabled faction icons, like this http://fs5.directupload.net/images/160521/525ua3q9.jpg

Can anyone hook me up on this?

Hey Dears,

as you probably know the wow client enforces a two consecutive characters limit for character and guild names (ie, you can name a toon named aabaa, but not aaaba, aaabaa or aaaaaaa), and I`d like to ask whether it`s possible, and if yes how to remove this restriction.

Hey Dears,

I`ve got a small question, how exactly is the Forsaken bones` showing instead of the armor textures (you know, the legs and arms will show bones no matter what, even though your chest, legs would cover them, ie are textured in that area) working, and could this be applied to the other races as well?

Custom captchas (like 'What does .dbc stand for?' [Database Client], 'What`s the community-made modding tool?' [Noggit], et cetera) tend to work pretty well for smaller niche communities.
At the very least, that`s my experience.

Resources and Tools / Re: [RELEASE] "Better" Procedural Water 3.3.5a
« on: October 21, 2014, 02:25:35 am »
Its still creating a lot of overhead even if you opt out of it, because somehow the client keeps checking for the filelists, which makes loadscreens last forever everytime you start a new session, especially if your internet isn`t top-notch

Additionally, the hot-fix thingy shouldn`t be /that/ an issue for all our intents & purposes. It`s another one for Blizzard, yes (because they`re dealing with serious stuff there), but we could as well just release a hotfix the /normal/ way.
