I searched for ppl doing private servers for allot of weird games when i was younger, pirates of Caribbean was one of them i think, great game! Great team experience on the boat at least, (not fan of the on land combat) me and my childhood friend that iwe lost contact with now played that game so much!

I remember we took down a lvl 31->~~ Black pearl ship with a lvl 1 boat for about an hour to get it down, we dodge every bullet for 1 hour and used only 1 cannon on each side while my friend stared left and right to release the 3 canons he was able to shoot! That game had aim and team play, a great game that i would love to see going "open source"

Just added more obj and still working on custom loot-able corpses, have not found any way to get a player corps loot-able yet.

Uppdate



Horde and ally now spawn on different locations.
When you die you spawn in the beginning and can either use spirit healer and break your gear or run to the corps and almost get away with it.

Still doing tons of texturing and allot of world editing, now i have begun to spawn more and more obj just because i feel ok with the map design.







Still got some of these glitches in map that is super annoying... but I'm working on it.



Things to fix. (And i need help with any info on this!)
* Make so when you kill Horde&Ally their corpses are loot-able
* Put your own loot in the corpses so whenever you loot a corps you get a custom item that you can use for special vendors.
* Make a vendor sell what you want.

There is a much faster way for you to add/scale/copy objects and that is by using Noggit 1.4SDL

Here is a tutorial how to set it up, i got 3.3.5 WOTLK and its working perf, don't know about 6.2.4 yet sorry.

Thanks for the reply of you both! i will do it to a normal zone and add it in to the game, also I'm planing on making everyone on the server to start in that area and need help to make so everyone stays on that are when they die, so they don't re spawn in som random spot outside. I'm using 3.3.5 Trinity and searching all over the wiki :)

I'm working on a custom Arathi Basin on 3.3.5 and have the plans of converting it to 1.12.1, but i havent got the map to work on 3.3.5 but im trying and im doing Steffs tut right now, from scratch instead of thinking im a hacker pro!



Do you think this will be possible to port to 1.12.1? Any tips any way you guys can send me some info, i know its so har with just 1.12.1 when the community is so spread out and hard to grasp and when legends have past away.

I have made the map work following steff tut, but my Arathi Basin map does not show.

Here is half successful test map, still green error texture.

Is there something im missing? why cant you tp in to pvpzones? Nothing happens.

Today its pretty clear that blizzard is going to start their own vanilla servers soon, but until then i keep on working on this server just for fun, and i want it to be public as soon as possible som im working on that to! We have tested the server and its great ping!


I'm looking in to the starting scene camera and I'm going to script that so you get a nice view of the map in the beginning :) no it just look like this.


I have added starting point when you create new character but have not figure out how to do a spawning point when you die. Any help on that would be great!
