"Retro-Porting" / [QUESTION] Converting WOD WMO to LK

Hey Modcraft,

i've readed alot of stuff regarding wmos from warlords of dreanor.
Some ppl say the Structure of WMOs hasn't changed since Vanilla.

I extracted the full WoD Client and tried to geht the WMOs working but not a single one is working.
All Textures mentioned in wmo structures are in the right directorys.

Most of the time i try to choose a wod wmo in wmv the wmv crashes without errorcode or something similar.
And if wmv doesnt crash, the Textures seems to be weird.

I tried to export the wmo to Blender, too but even this wont work with wod wmos.

is there some way to -mass-import Alphamaps to ADTs, for example via batch?

Would be glad if someone has some expierence with this ;)

Miscellaneous / [SOLVED] vmap4extractor crash (Trinity / Custom map)

Hey guys,

i got a problem at extracting vmaps...
For 2 Weeks i was able to extract vmaps from my Custom maps without any Problems.
I didn't modified the extracter, it worked out of the box.

Since a Week when i try to extract vmaps, the vmap4extractor crashes while processing my map.
There is no crash dump or some error message, even in debug mode. Nothing.
I reextracted dbcs and maps too, and maps are working.

After the crash the vmapassembler is creating some of my Tiles of the Map to working Vmaps.


I have two Versions of this Map.

The First Version is for enUS Client, its for a friend of mine. With enUS edited DBCs etc..
This Version works perfectly, i can extract the vmaps without Problems.

The Second Version is only for me and for deDE Client.
It has edited dbcs for deDE Client with same entrys as the enUS Version.
The difference is, i added in this Version some more ADTs lately. And only with this extra ADTs,
the extractor is crashing.

Any Ideas how to figure out whats happened?

Miscellaneous / [SOLVED]  Missing Chatchannels

Hey there,

i've got a Problem with my Custom Map...
First of all, i noticed there are no Ingame chatchannels like Genereal or localdefense.
Then i tried to .gps and it says Zone and Area unknown...
In Noggit i used the Area Paint tool and everychunk has its own Areacolor.
Ingame in Client i can see all the Area Names over the Minimap when i switch to another Area.
Also, Area Music and Flags like Sanctuary are all working.
I copied all dbcs to the Server, using actual TrinityCore.


I Noticed, in Sharpwow it Says Area unknow too...

Hope anyone has an Idea...

I'm working on Private Servers since TBC. I had my own Project wich 200 Players played on.
After that, i became Project Manager of another German Server, where around 1000 Player played on in our best Time.
Porject died after i left the team because of reallife problems.
