Use gifcam. There was a version for Linux.
[paragraph:1knc5spy]i have built my own "infrastructure" for recording/encoding/screenshots/uploading out of bash scripts. Also i dislike gui applications for this type of task.[/paragraph:1knc5spy]
i switched to imageick which does its job quite well.

Last I did was some work on the genesis quest editor.
And creating many DBC definitions :)

The quest chain rendering took some time. Many different possible relations.

I've successfuly done something close to cata water in 3.3.5a (animated one, with waves) Big thanks to Shelldon for helping me out with procedural textures. (Download the picture to your computer for better FPS)

This is very cool. Nice one.

On my side, abandoned my project I had been working on for ~3-4 years fairly recently, so going to make it fully open source soonish.

Id love to post pictures of what I've been working on, but notepad files of notes isn't too exciting.  Been working on documenting Spell.dbc.  Not the structure but rather how to use the different spell effects and aura's.  Right now the project is half done, it's slow but steady progress.

EoC going open source?  I can't wait... Not to get my hands on the actual content, but rather just to see how the hell you did most of that.

God, i hate having a 60+ hour a week job, I could move it up to the big boy league...

Just lack of time and a lack of interest. I would much rather be working on more conceptual and fun projects. Like writing an operating system from scratch, with no intention of it ever being serious, just educational. :)

I'm building an island.  <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| -->  It looks quite lame in front of what you're doing. xD

Looks good to be honest, but I think you should apply another dirt layer on the dirt road (or some stone/rock doodads) to add a bit variety. It looks a bit bland.

Right, but I would have some trouble with mountains and sand, so I decided to put only dirt there; this being a pirate camp, they do not care so much about having nice paved roads.
Moreover, it actually renders correctly ingame when you are with your player.  :)

Though the road was not made with a simple dirt texture randomly : There is mainly a small border of darker grass around the dirt part, like Blizzard does.

And the whole thing will looks better with grounds effects.

Well, it'll take a long time to say how are all of you are awesome guys, so I'll just post some of my latest works :P .

Reaction of the guards on some illegal actions

New afk mode for role-play servers

Hunger system

Theft

I think last video will be a little bit hard to understand, so I'll explain:
Its a kind of pickpocketing, good result is stealing money from another player, and bad is some textemote with "mistake" of robber.
