"Retro-Porting" / [RELEASE] [Classic] Imroved Models for 1.12

Welcome to World of Warcraft Improved Models mod. Azeroth new reborn state which adds a new view and more enjoyable gameplay with the update models version of the game. My point was to update the game as much as i could with the new models introduced in the latest game expansions and replace those old crusty models of the past without ruining the feel of old classic wow.

After Release updates (v1.3):
So, here we are with the last version of the mod. Two years has passed since I started to mod this game version and I can say that I enjoy it very much as I enjoy seen and play the classic game version with the updated models. This version now includes some of the latest models that released with Battle of Azeroth thought due to recent changes that Blizz made to the models system they made it almost impossible to convert them to classic or downport and glitch beyond fix. I would like to thank everyone that helped and assist during the mod creation and progress as also testing before any release was made.

New Additions :

 *For sake of simplicity and after many requests now Balsh Character models are merged with my mod.
 *New world models added
 *Replaced Class Icons in character creation screen with a better and detailed version
 *Replaced party icons when in not in range to reflect the new modern icons
 *New loading screens added from Battle of Azeroth
 *New character screen race icons from Legion
 *New models added from Battle of Azeroth and Cata
 *Replaced some class weapons models and World drop weapons from Legion, WoD, WotLK (Warrior, Priest, Rogue,
   Druid, Shaman, Hunter, Warlock)
 *Replaced some weapons models from [Quest:The Argent Hold] from Legion
 *Replaced Shaman Stormstrike spell icon with the one from the current game version
 *Replace Warlock's spells and icons with Cataclysm Fel version of the spell
 *Replaced "Knight's Colors Tabard" and "Stone Guard's Herald Tabard" from Legion
 *Elemental models are returned to their default models state


After release updates (v1.2):
New changes are here. Thanks to Drood182 and Leeviathan from Modcraft by creating those awesome mods. Leeviathan for the High Elves and the Chinese version for the Undead models but as also the fix for tabarbs and fine tuning general the WoD character models and Drood182 for creating new skins for the tiger model. So now i have update Balsh mod to be compatible with the High Elves model as also with the general extra fixes.

New Additions :
  *Abominations model update
  *Ghouls model update
  *New Skybox for Stratholme (Orgirmmar Raid skybox used for that)
  *Paladin's Charger model update
  *Warlock's DreadSteed model update
  *Treasure Chest model update
  *Fixed Druids Gift of the Wild spell icon
  *Reworked skins for the Tiger model (by Drood182)
  *Balsh Character models reworked including: Tabarbs, removed doubled polygons,  undead features reworked plus higher-res bone textures (by Leeviathan) *
 *New Undead Character model - Chinese Version (by Leeviathan)

BARE in mind, all 3 mods, the creatures, Balsh Char mod and Leeviathan Chinese version can work together. DONT USE my version of Balsh link from here if you want only the character models. Use the STAND ALONE VERSION from Modcraft. Also i'll advice don't change the order of the patches, is been tested to work that way, unless you are aware of what you doing.

* Completely reworked character models for Balsh's WoD Character Models 1.12.1 models, use in tandem with Balsh's mod. Fixes include: corrected tabard UV mapping for all, removed doubled polygons (mainly doubled belt meshes, this fixes transparency on things like ghost form), undead features reworked + higher-res bone textures + some miscellaneous corrected textures, rogue vertex tamed on tauren male, some corrected textures for tauren females, tons of hair UV fixes and un-decimated dwarf beards.

After release updates (v1.1):
I made a major optimization on the patch by removing models that was bugged, like alpha test models, some unnecessary textures and things wasn't need to be there anymore. So now patch is more easier to get since its capacity reduced drastically but remain same. Also i changed and distinguished the PvP mounts so to have a different look from the normal ones since aren't obtained easily.

New additions:
   *New Login screen,
   *New Loading screens and loading bar,
   *New Character Icons on character creation screen,
   *60% Raptor Mounts are updated to the new model,
   *Deathcharger's Reins is updated to the new model,
   *Horn of the Frostwold Howler is updated to the new model,
   *PvP Mounts are now distinguished from the standard mount.

Under WiP:
   * Armors / Weapons mod -> 80% Completed

After release updates (v1.0):
There was some minor bugs found after release and thanks to many people reporting them, so  i could fasttrack them and apply a fix .
Keep reporting in case you find something weird but also check if this was already reported or fixed already.

Critical :
    * Ouro's attacks fixed [Now working - REPORT AGAIN IN CASE OF PROBLEM]

Reported misbehaved models:
    * Ohgan missing armor textures fixed [Raptor AQ boss]
    * Berserk Owlbeast Creature missing textures fixed
    * Frostsaber Pride watcher models fixed
    * Princess Yauj, Lord Kri and Vem missing wings textures fixed
    * Update Ouro's model to Cata

Known Bugs :
    * Under Shaman Ghostwolf form if you attack your weapons appear
    * Some Fly path mounts cameras are off positions, like higher
    * Gryphon model has a minor bug on attack and turns out funny

Those unfortunately cant fixed, made several tries but none worked. In case someone knows he can inform me and apply the fix.

Changes in the Final Release:

Fixes / Additions :
    * Many fixes around creature / NPC models,
    * Removed some older additions in BETA / Alpha,
    * Added new models for Legendary/Epic weapons
    * Some dbc entries cleaning
    * Added some new creature sounds

Under WiP :
    * Working the armor /weapons Patch [going to be released a few days after main mod]

How to install:

    1 .Download first all 4 parts, its in a compressed rar file,
    2. Put it where ever you like and extract it so it will give you the patch file,
    3. Move the file under Data Warcraft folder, I.e : [C:WoW game folderData ],
    4. Delete your WDB cache folder [its good to delete often]
    5. Balsh character models mod !
   
WARNING : In case you have Kowards patch, you don't need it anymore since i have already merge it with mine.

So here we are after a long journey that finally ends. I enjoy that trip to newly modding ground as WoW offers. I want to thanks to many modders here in the modeling community that help me to overpass many weird things as also to learn many new things in the area of wow modding. Also want to thank in advance Koward for his awesome work in his tool. Many thanks to Nanoxo,Mumblz, Finsternis for their additions in the texture area as also Exonis for some model fix additions to the BETA and Magnifican for the last final tests and suggestions.

"Retro-Porting" / [Classic] [BETA]Improved Models for 1.12

So here we are, after a long term of wait you can actually see and feel azeroth from the WoD point of view. I want to say and have in mind that this is vanilla and not cataclysm or WoD. You going to see a huge number of creatures working at it 100% and some very few too 95%. My idea of retro port those models was to play vanilla that i like much but i wanted some extra flavor on it since i was bored of watching again same models since then. Here is where my mod takes place and transform your game into something different. I want to say a big thanks in advance to Nanoxo first for hes early help provide me with the texture but also Mumblz that hes helping me from now on to finish the mod, Koward for his initial start and help and some people from the Modeling Community here. So enough talking lets get down to the point.

What is changed so far:

    Game Music (City/Zones music from Cataclysm and upwards)
    Creature Models (as i said the 80% is changed)
    Spell effects and animations (including Enchants)
    Spell sounds (not all spells, tho some specific got used)
    Minor world changes (like lampposts, crates etc)
    Ambient Sound (and specially the rain sound which is replaced with a more realistic one)
    Some icons in the Character Creation UI
    Some weapons (Under WiP state, only Grand Marshal and Overlords Stave at the moment)
   
Under work progress:

    Character Models
    A small creature model variation to replace
    Some weapon variations


How to install:

    Download first all 8 parts, its in a compressed rar file,
    Put it where ever you like and extract it so it will give you the patch file,
    Move the file under Data Warcraft folder, I.e : [C:WoW game folderData ],
    Delete your WDB cache folder


WARNING : In case you have Kowards patch, you dont need it anymore since i have already include it with mine. Don't rename the patch file unless you know how to do things around.

Now also i want to add that this topic to refer on things you have found. If a model is missing some textures or a bug on the model it self. Don't post things out of this topic, since im going to use it to track down what ever left behind me and didn't notice. Im aware of some things that need to be updated so im gonna do on the process.

Showoff - what you are working on / Uthil's cosmetic model update [1.12v]

Hello to all, im kinda new member here and got started a small project a few days back while i was looking a way to use the new models to a classic client. Accidentally i step to Spik96 project with the converter. Also with some other member video tuts and tools here got an image how wow is been modded these days what amazing projects exists. I was modding games, but did back in CoD UO years, and FPS with tools is an easy way to mod. Anyway i want to saw you what i have done till now, this is a WiP and don't know yet when completely done.

So those are the changes at the moment, all animations and ect are working, seems at the moment a small problem with particles and not all working. In example on fire elemental and air elemental from WotLK particles work fine when in the rest elemental models it doesnt. Anyway im giving as much feedback i can to Mr Spik96 about glitches i found on the process and thanks to his converter we can mod moar ! :D
