Noggit / [Request] Minimap extracting

Hi, i want to make a little request if it is posible.

It could be posible to render WMO/doodad in 2d view? I want to extract some minimap's and the best way i have seen is using 2d view. So i think a wmo rendering or a minimap extracting function could aid us.

I'm doing some tests with anim porting. So i need to know if i'm doing all work ok or i'm wrong.

I have tried to port animations from murloccostume to murloc and adding new ones.

When i try to make it with the old way, it ports the animations quite good. It has a little problem with translaton but all almost ok. But when i try to make the same with animporter GUI i do not get the same results. Animations are really bugged.

I have tried to port all animations and then add some animations to the same model but it does not work. I have tried to replace the original input murloc file to the new one on each animation added. It brokes the model.

The model gets broken too if i try to use examples and animporterGUI in the same model.

I use the keybones from raceinfo.py and 0 1 2 from other bones at each model.

Please give me some rules to work with it. Thanks

Edit: now i know bout key and single bones and how to use them on animport but i have noticed that all anims ported or added are half animatedm for example when u port "walk" it makes the half of the anim (only one step).

I think it could be a bug.

Noggit / [QUESTION] Weird Chunk lines

I have some weird lines between chunks and adts. I have tried to blur them with noggit and they appear the most times. I have tried to "fix lines" with taliis. It fixes a bit the lines but when i modify the shape all chunks got squared and i have to reblur them another time.

What can i do to fix them right? Thanks

I'm learning how to convert mdx to m2. I have m2 converted and resized with mdxtom2 (0.01). All seems to work fine but animations..it seems that animations have been reduced or..something alike :S

Can anyone help me? Thx ^^

I'm looking for modelresizer.exe tool; Could anyone upload it somewhere?


If i do not resize the model with mdxtom2 it works really fine. But when i scale it to its normal scale ingame, attached objects become really little.

i have tried to resize it with some tools but it does not work..

I'm tryin to port the "mount" anim from orcmale to furbolg; cause i have edited this model and it has lost this animation. I got it ported but now furbolg mounts a bit over the mount, and furbolg moves their legs when is mounting...

i have looked for furbolg basic bones:

lshoulder: 17
rshoulder: 18
rleg: 4
lleg: 5
head: 16

I do not put any bone more (spinelow,wrist...i do not put this bones)

Is there something i'm doing wrong?

Random / [QUESTION] Legal Problems with Blizzard

All team of Reign of Ysera are worried bout Blizzard. We have seen their legal and copyright polities.

Is it ilegal to open to public a custom expansion? Blizz sais that yes, it is. But they say too that they like custom maps. Are they talking bout WoW or Warcraft?

Do u think opening RoY to public will angry Blizzard? We have been reported to them but we have not received any e-mail from.

If anyone can help us or post his experiences we'll be gratefull.

Well, i have some problems with some modificated models.

I modify texture type with Pymodel editor from Tigurius (thnx :D). New models show clothes and different skins, ok. But i have seen that in most complet models (ogre, crackelf, tuskarr, foresttroll) some parts disappear when i equip an item like boots or rope.

I have looked and learned a bit and i think i can fix it. There's my theory:

Parts of models disappear cause item equipped uses a geoset that not exists in it. So, if i copy or add this non-existing geosets with exisiting ones (with copygeoset tool) the item will show; not disappear.

Am i right? Can i fix it with copygeoset tool?

I'm looking at goblin and worgen model fixed by Tigurius. I compare it with original Cataclysm model in hexediting, to find how to convert it but..i'm totally lost. I have a .m2 template from 010editor. I think...the order of the stuff have changed or..similar.

Can someone help me? I want to fix new worgen female models to add them, and i want to try some other models ^^

Hi all! I'm Furruz from Oscuridad project. I want to show u the project we are working for 2 year and improving every day.

We are a group of amateur modders in WoW most from Spain and Southern American. We are working to create a new whole expansion for wow WTLK.

Our expansion will bring us to Emerald Dream, Reign of Ysera the Dreamer. New races are allowed to play; as Nagas or Goblins. New adventures to live in roy's new dungeons and raids. All the stuff adapted to Warcraft history the best we can.

There is more info; i will update when my people bring me translated in english ;)
