I needed the BC login screen (to edit it furthermore), I thought it might be useful for someone.
The conversion seems complete and bugless. If you encounter any problem, feel free to post it here.

I downloaded mine years ago so I don't have links for you, I recommend you to look on the websites of 1.12 private servers. They probably have the client for their newcomers.

Nice signature, but if you're not familiar with my releases and fields of interests(Previous name was AnthonysToolbox, for reference sake), character and race topics aren't one of them, sorry mate, but it's not something I'm concerned with Mayhap you should get into modding and attempt to do what you crave yourself, as that is what drives all of us to do what we do.  If you have the passion, try to have the vision too ^_^ Cheers!

I'm trying to, it's just hard getting the basics set up, it's like everything else, once you get the tools working or get your base classes in java set up for whatever, you can pretty much excel from that point onwards.

yeah stuff gets pretty difficult when you're the only person who's interested in what you want to do, or in my case, stuff gets difficult when others are interested but only want free handouts of the tools i've made for myself but don't actually want to contribute anything that would help it move along.... Saying "Oh this is perfect, it works, but yeah it's missing something, goodluck!!" Doesn't help with snot lol.

Yeah, what I REALLY want to do is learn HOW to do it so I can make an easy GUI program in java that automates the process of race swaps, and that way the entire process becomes a non-issue (like it has for 3.3.5)

Also, that means much less people beg for race swaps on Ownedcore etc and can it it themselves.

I think it would be relatively easy to automate the process because all it seems to be is swapping one set of files out for another set of files with different filenames.


But yeah, that base process is what I'm unaware of, perhaps soon I will be though.

You mean like the Race Swap tool in Glitchy's MES ?
There is a 2.0 version. I've never used the swapping tool however.

I don't know if you can convert afterwards the patch to 1.12, but give it a try. It's really user friendly.

thats brilliant idea, but hard to implement
Possible for hard motivated one
The main problem is in data format, the alha models are MDX which is different of w3 one. This special mdx version is poor documented. Even cata M2's are more similiar to classic m2's.

I think the best for the modding community would be an Mdx/Alpha=>M2/Wotlk rather than =>M2/Classic.
And only in a second time associate it with a LK2BC converter.
A Mdx/Alpha=>M2/Classic would be hardly used by anyone. Not worth the time spent to implement it.
