It's possible to merge Finsternis Legion mod with warmane characters+npc. Piccolodmq did it for old version of Finsternis Mod.
Found in comments:
"I am trying to do this myself... and alredy got it to work.   its, simply gettin MYDBCeditor, and fuse both DBC´s (model data and creaturedisplayinfo) from both the Warmane´s Dbc files and this one.   I am trying to go an extr notch and trying to fuse those 2 with Kronixusa dbc´s(the one with cata and mop display´s on oiit) But I am having troubles with CSV to DBC.  It says files its too large (even if it is only 2 megabytes.  somwhere between DBC ---> DBCUTIl, opening this with excel and going back to CVS ----> DBC i am making a mistake and can´t make it happen.   Anyone here have a updated, guide for editing DBC´s with excel ?"

"The first you could seperate the dbc´s but just the last one will count.
And to fusion them u need  to open the dbcs and compare whats the different and write it into one."

I fuse them for you.   Try them.   Here are the DBC´s .   The problem I am having troubles, trying to put them together into a patch (For some reason) it comes out as a smaller file.   Maybe its the verison I am using?(latest MPQ Editor v 3.5.1.817).  So do me a favor. Put them into a patch and resend it to me?

Here are Warmanes and Finsternis Patch.   ( the wayt it works for me is I delete all DBC files from Finsternis files and put all the DBC files in patch-enUS-w.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8xvH ... 3lZWENWQ0U

This is Patch-EnUs.W   in WOW/Data/Enus

and use warmanes  Finsternis in WOW/DATA (dont forget to delete DBC files inside of them).
Hey !  :)

It's easy. First, download this :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8xvHOnjNZYbSlFoS3lZWENWQ0U (Thx to Piccolo)

Then put this file in your DATAenUS-frFR-enGB...etc....Folder, in the game install directory. Second, download the Legion creature to WotlK patch here ; Then put it in your DATA forlder. Third, download the patch-w.mpq from Warmane formu (easy to find on their forum). And put it in the DATA folder.

When you have all 4 files, download this : (MPQ editor)

http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html

In the process, never touch the mpq patch posted by Piccolo (the Patch-xx-w.mpq), but open (one after the other) :

patch-w.mpq
patch-F.mpq
patch-G.mpq

And delete the DBC folder. After that, just close the mpq editor, no need to save, it's automatic !!! And YEAAAH ! Enjoy !!! If the big pigs annoying you, you can edit them with a SQL DB client. There's good tuto's on Trinity Core website (DB reference).

We will be so grateful if someone try to merge newest version of Finsternis mod with warmane models :)

If someone want it here is a patch.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IYsPavk7pYSyIP4okt0PROaTk2ZLAFfg

Its a patch-K so you will replace the Finsternis patch-K.
How to use.
Remove patch-X ,patch-enUS-W and patch-enUS-X from the data and data\enUS folders.
Rename Finsternis patch-A as patch-B
Rename Warmane patch-W as patch-A

EXTRA
If u find the npc scourge models ugly (they don't have features, warmane patch bug i think) just open the patch-K with MPQ editor, and edit the CreatureModelData.dbc with MyDbcEditor.  Find the line ID 6017 (female) and 6016 (male) and replace the model CHARACTER\SCOURGE\FEMALE\SCOURGEFEMALE_NPC.mdx by CHARACTER\SCOURGE\FEMALE\NPC\SCOURGEFEMALENPC.mdx
same for male scourge, it will change it back to Finsternis model

Obs. Ty Finsternis for pointing me the way

Does someone have a working link to the NPCs from warmane?

Also I would love the edited file with fixed undeads.

Edit: I found a direct link to the Warmane models https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B4dwW8TOxn5dckRENjlTa3Uxc2c

I have a patch containing all goblins updated to hd (model and normal textures and pre backed textures.) does anyone want to merge them with this dbc? (they worked with the standalone finsternis patches but not with the warmane models.)

These are from a sever that tried backporting cata and all its content to wotlk and then went under.

If someone is interested in integrating these (or telling me a easy way how to) I would upload them all.

Ok, I just deleted all the files in the MPQ files that dont have anything to do with Goblins and will upload it now.

Its quite big, when editing make sure to only add entries to the old dbc containing goblin male, female and old changes not the other cata npcs. (The patch contains all cata prebakes because there are too many I didnt take the time to delete the non goblin ones but it works fine.)

Done  :)
There's a patch-C and a Patch-K.
Just do it in the same order, Warmane NPC Patch (patch-W) as Patch-A.
Characters Patch (patch-A) as patch-B and this one as Patch-C.
Replace my first patch-K with this one.
*Obs: Don't use the new patch-K without the Patch-C

Awesome thanks for the quick work.

If you dont mind would you upload the version with the finsternis undead?

Will you keep this patch up to date when Finsternis starts backporting Battle for Azeroth models?

well acuatally i don't know, if i'm around yes.
To change the undead is simple. As i said:
open the patch-K with MPQ editor, extract the CreatureModelData.dbc and edit with MyDbcEditor.  Find the line ID 6017 (female) and 6016 (male) and replace the line CHARACTER\SCOURGE\FEMALE\SCOURGEFEMALE_NPC.mdx with CHARACTER\SCOURGE\FEMALE\NPC\SCOURGEFEMALENPC.mdx and CHARACTER\SCOURGE\MALE\SCOURGEMALE_NPC.mdx with CHARACTER\SCOURGE\MALE\NPC\SCOURGEMALENPC.mdx
Then with insert the updated CreatureModelData.dbc back to the patch-k again.

I did as you said but this completely broke the texture on these models it seems like the hd textures are being applied to the sd models.
