[SOLVED] Weapon Model Conversion Issues

I've been messing around with Blender and M2Mod4, I'm able to convert and edit character models with relative ease. Everything is working on that front, but when I tried to tinker with a few weapon models, there seems to be an issue.
> Convert m2 + skin to m2i
> Import into Blender, loads fine, everything's there.
> Edit & Export to m2i
> Try to convert m2i back to m2 and get this error:
error: failed to save M2, unspecified error.
I've tried modifying the rotation and I've also tried making no edits--simply converting to m2i and back to m2. Same error. I also tried M2Mod3 and also saving as obj, then converting to mdx and then finally to m2... to no avail. Is M2Mod even intended for weapon models or is there just something I'm missing? >.< I couldn't find any info on this after a quick look at the forums so that's why I elected to post. If there's a tutorial or the same question somewhere that's solved, I'd appreciate a link! c:
Thanks in advaaance.

Which weapons did you try to modify?

From what I know, M2MOD is for animated models and doesn't work all that well with static models. If you just want to change the rotation just export as obj and use one of the many converters that are available in modcraft.

I also tried a few others, can't remember as they were just to test if things were working. I tried some from MoP, Cata, WotLK and Vanilla. All the same result.
I had a feeling M2Mod wasn't intended for static m2's, but I know little about all this unfortunately. ;~; I did try and export as obj and use the tools provided by the site, it just corrupted the file each and every time. The mesh appears to get deleted. I guess it could be an issue with the initial conversion? However, the converted m2i's load just fine into Blender and export fine as well.

There is a tutorial that Alaster created which describes this convertion. It is in the tutorial section of this thread and I am sure you can find it.

I've tried all of this, everything. Q.Q
Still doesn't seem to work. I've tried converting/editing the exported obj's from model viewer, tried converting extracted m2's to m2i, then save as obj, then convert obj to m2. None of it works. I even tried editing the obj file in txt before converting, as I saw you say in another thread.
I've tried converting unedited obj's, m2's and m2i's. Model never displays ingame or when I convert the converted m2 back to m2i or obj, the mesh is gone and the file is corrupted in blender. Perhaps the scripts I have activated for char model editing are conflicting? Or maybe my Blender is just being dumb?
EDIT:
Thanks to PhillipTNG for personally helping me out with the issue, and to Alastor and others for their previous info that I've sifted through and consumed. I should've mentioned I was attempting to get the model to work in MoP/WoD. I was wondering why nothing was working, since I was doing all the steps correctly, but then realized I was using 335 tools. >.<
