[SOLVED] Noggit - White flickering terrain?
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:07:53 pm »

1) The white squares, why are they there and how do I fix it?
2) The green spots had a rock texture and now they're green?

It looks perfect in Noggit :( Help please!

This has already been reported and if i remember correctly, also has been fixed already.

Use the latest version.

Green textures often show bad filenames and therefore missing data or specular lighting being on while there is no texture with alpha channel having specular information for the given tileset.

Alright, so if I download it with the latest version, save it and then convert it into a patch then it should be fine?

I don't know, but the use of this whole beta testing is, that bugs get fixed. Therefore, only testing the newest version is worth anything. Using an old version during beta testing is just plain useless. There is no reason to do so. Reporting bugs that exist in some old version is just useless.

It's the exact bug in the newer one. Please help me Schlumpf. Me and my friend spent 48 hours in making this zone. (48 hours sitting at the computer)

Edit: When I spin around the white flickering as I call it moves around. Maybe it's the sun that causes this? How do I remove the suns blending effect?

Edit 2: When I set my graphics to low it works for both me and my friends, the flickering dissapeared.

Edit 3: Me and my friend was playin' around with the graphics on both of our computers and we realised it was the "Spectacular lightning" option that caused the flickering.

Edit 4: Just one question remains, what's causing the mountains to become grey even if they're colored in noggit (latest)?

Edit 5: I was using a backup of the patch and it now works flawless. End of discussion, thread closed.
