[SOLVED] Booting Model viewer or Noggit not working
« on: March 24, 2012, 11:25:44 pm »
So, after talking abit with my mate Putte08, i wanted to start world building again.
But i completely forgot about my problems with using model viewer and/or Noggit, So, the problem with Model Viewer is, when i boot it, it says 'Assertion failed!   Program: ...   File:.dbcfile.cpp   Line: 65   Expression: data   For Information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts.' After some looking on the internet, the only thing that line 65 on dbcfile.cpp says is simply a description, and in my opinion it would be wierd if it automatically disappeared.
Onto the noggit problem, Im not sure if this occurs to many people, but when i boot noggit, it crashes instantly, here's the log;

The uuhhh, noggit_template one? :P
[spoiler:1wid4hm9]#This is a config file template. To use it rename into noggit.conf and set your options
#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
#Path = G:WoW 2.4.3World of Warcraft

#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
#ProjectPath = G:project01

#Set this to the file where you will import models from (the model viewer log for example :) )
#ImportFile  = G:ModelViewer0.5.8userSettings

#The far clipping value. Set to 2048, 3072, 4096 etc. for a further look. Higher values need more 3d power.
#1024 is the standard value and will be taken if you do not set this value.

No. Your config file you have renamed and changed to get noggit to run as discripted in the manual :)

Path = G:WoW 2.4.3World of Warcraft

NOT

#Path = G:WoW 2.4.3World of Warcraft

Thats why we need this file :)
And rename your wow. Just rename and start once it will run again without any problems.
And change the path of cource.
