Hello there, I´m new to this site and new to "advanced moding". Well, whats my problem? Let me explain...
Fisrt of all - I´m not programmer and dont have proper education for "advanced stuff", im just creative self-learner (experiment-error style). Well, and english is not my mother-language, so, please forgive me some misspelling/gramatic flaws etc.
That was about me. Now, about my project - and problems.
I´m working on (Czech)
3.3.5a private RP server (estimated population very low - best views - +/- 50 people) and our goal is "Our own world, our own lore, our own story"...so we are making custom maps, dbc editing and all this stuff.
Recently, i had an idea - bring some Cata (mainly Gilnean and Wildhammer) objects into our MPQs and create something...yet unseen. So iI started to doing research, crawlin trough forums like this one...and experimenting, ofcourse.
WHAT I USED
- textures from Cata 4.0.6
- models from Cata Alpha
WHAT I MANAGED
- ...to get gilnean structures to both - in-Noggit and in-game flawlessly

...to get gilnean/worgen M2s dysplaying flawlessly in Modelviewer and Noggit, but ingame they are not visible...So...I grabbed some models (namely -
worgen_stable_01.m2) and punched them through "
Py script for converting Cata alpha models"...and what happened? In-mviewer it looks ok (
like this), in noggit it looks ok...ingame it looks...like that:

Adn the question is -
how can i make it work right? Is there some way how to fix load of Cata M2s to WOTLK format in relatively easy way? (=something what could trained monkey like myself execute without greater problems / necessity to understand "how it works")
