WoD DBC's
« on: October 19, 2014, 09:46:43 pm »
Hey,
in the WoD DBC's there are no more paths, but only this HEX numbers. ( or just numbers, as in the ItemDisplayInfo.dbc ). My question is, there is no way to read these paths, or it is impossible at the moment?
Thanks for the help ,
Vatoto

Here ist my itemdisplayinfo from 3.3.5a
You can see, the blp name in cloumn 4 is a string, in wod is it a number

Yes but you cant expect that Lizzard Entertaiment will stick to those old DBC forever theyr just improving theyr game and result is

" you cant just go and copy DBCs from Wod to 335 "

we can read them normaly there isnt problem ..

Well you kinda can copy them but not in the way you're thinking, you simply insert their values into wotlk dbcs without creating extra columns that wotlk doesn't support, an example would be to copy a faction or something that I've been working on copying WoD water, any way it's possible but won't yield the best results by doing so...

Filepaths are now located in "FileData". They get assigned to an ID that is then assigned back to the main DBC file (like SoundEntries.DBC, etc.)
