Do you plan on working on the 2.4.3 version?

I've tried it and get it to work for a small while then it starts to error and boot you from WoW every time you open it.
you need wowme in order to load custom patches in tbc.

Updated topic with old ogre patch. No bugs have been found from my own testing, but there may be some considering it changes all ogres in Azeroth.

19
Why would you attempt to model-swap through wdb when it's a hundred times easier to do it with a custom patch.

If you are attempting to do  this because of Nostalrius, just place your custom content within your original .MPQs. They don't check hash or anything on them so it's chill.

Fixing hair is easy, just make female or male use diffrent hair files in charsections.dbc.

Uh, where is the DBC file?

All DBC files are in the exact same location, DBFilesClient?

Sorry, I meant the lines for gnome females, I have the file open.

Is this just trail and error? how do I know which ones are male and which are female?

Fourth problem is happening because you changed the default gnome model to blood elf. In order to make all gnome NPCs look like blood elves you would have to edit every gnome backednpctexture

I'm sure TBC people will appreciate this !

Be careful for one thing, tho : I think some animations were added to character during TBC (Mutilate, for example) and if you replace UndeadMale.m2 with an old one there will be no animation and you'll have the Noggenfogger bug (a straigth, not animated, stance instead of the mutilate animation).
You should instead find what changes the scale of the shoulder items, and do that change on the 2.4.3 UndeadMale.m2. If you don't want to tinker with models directly, use Glitchy's Model Editing Suite, it's an easy-to-use software and there is a 2.x version.

Played around a bit with Gliitchy and 010 editor, but was unable to find out how to scale a bone.
Multilate is not that bad atm, character will just perform unarmed attack animation when casting. It's better than standing still.

"Retro-Porting" / [RELEASE] TBC backports
« on: May 20, 2015, 03:25:15 pm »
Since it's so easy to port stuff over to TBC I was able to port over some vanilla and unreleased stuff.

I have seen how people have requested old evocation on other forums, so I decided to port it.
In TBC blizzard changed the model of the mage spell "evocation". This patch returns it to its vanilla model.

The big undead shoulder patch from my other topic is something I think many people want to use, so I ported to TBC as well.

The tool I used to backport everything above is called M2toTBC.
I can do requests if someone wants any spell ported over.

[Removed beta Draenei emote patch]
This patch brings back Draenei female flirt emote "You have heard of the Exodar? I will show you the Sexodar!" and the silly emote "Do Gnomes come with a vibrate setting".
When making this patch I realized that Blizz made a DBC fail when removing the beta flirt sound, resulting in removing 3 other flirt sounds as well, only for them to fix it in wotlk. This patch fixes that issue as well.

[Removed troll joke patch]
This patch enables the removed troll silly emote "I kill two dwarves" . Not sure what patch they removed this on but all I had to do to enable it was just add the sound file back. Originally made this patch for vanilla, but works just fine for TBC  as well.
To hear it, just spam /silly until you hear the emote.

All of the following patches have been tested by me and should most likely have no bugs.
Do note that WoWME is required to run all of the patches.

I managed to port some weapon models to vanilla using a tbc > vanilla tool but wasn't able to get textures working.

Hello,

It is possible to remove the afk kicking serverside, however it is not possible to remove the afk taging since that is done client side.

Try changing SocketTimeOutTime in configs if you are using trinitycore to disable auto disconnect. Not sure if it works but it is worth trying.

Thanks for uploading a working beta emulator. Been using this a bit to check out old stuff. Noticed that Gurubashi arena had a floor that was a part of the .wmo. Looks like it wasn't changed until 1.2 when they decided to only make the floor a FFA zone, previously even the entrance was FFA. I might upload a 1.2.3 version of WoWEmu later if anyone is interested.

I also noticed that blood gets stained on the ground if you attack mobs. I wonder if it's possible to port it to 1.12.1

back when I started playing on private servers, I remember seeing people way over level 255.
I believe the server I saw it on was based on arcemu.

"Retro-Porting" / [RELEASE] Old vanilla stuff to 1.12.1‏

Over the past month I've been porting some stuff from earlier patches to 1.12.1 while I was bored. What you can find here might be interesting to some people.

[Big undead shoulder patch]
When WoW was released undead males used used to have bigger shoulder size. They removed this somewhere around patch 1.5. I've taken the undead male character file from earlier patch and made a mpq so everyone can enjoy it.

The change is very noticeable as you can see on the following pics:

[Old Succubus model]
Before patch 1.4 succubus used to have another model. I've taken the model from a old patch and made a custom patch for it.

[Old ogre model patch]
Before patch 1.3 ogres used to have a different model than they do today. This patch adds back the old model to all ogres in Azeroth, even those ogres added after patch 1.3. For the ogres that were added past patch 1.3 I've used the equivalent model and texture.

Everything is tested and is likely to have no bugs, however if you do find one post it in this topic.
That's all for now. I might update this topic sometime later with some more old things.
