Miscellaneous / [QUESTION]  AreaTrigger limitation on client?

Hello,

I'm back with a new Problem... I hate this.

In the past days i will add some areatriggers for instance portals and ingame tavernes. I have search free and unused IDs in the AreaTrigger.dbc and add my custom Trigger Points, add the dbc to the server and to the client. (of course i add the areatrigger to the db) loggin and testing the points. Yay works fine.

But now my Problem. Some another AreaTrigger from Blizz will not works. At last i used the Trigger Ids 1106, 4000, 4001 with this entry will not works the areatrigger 5869, 5972, the linket to Rubysanctum. It's me not will porting to the instance. So i delete my new custom entrys, i was portet to the instance.

Than i added a AreaTrigger they bigger as the last added from blizz - but they will not works ingame.

I testet it with some another free and in the dbc unused ids, some another portals will not work.

Some here an idea why it is so? The working trigger ids client side connected with the in the dbc free ids to work? Or some another things?

Noggit / [SOLVED] Many objects on the same place

Hello,

since some time i have the problem that on my own map many objects on the same place are spawned. so was an the same place over 100 trees. thereby are ingame big lags (low fps).
When i will delete the objects with noggit, save the map and will loggin ingame i will become sometimes this wowerror:

The instruction at "0x007B31F8" referenced memory at "0x00000010".

I think this wow errors comes from failed save m2 on the adt or its what another?

Noggit can load the map without errors. But i found not another way as delete all modified adts and begun from new. This is very annoying work and the map design comes not forward.

Some here any idea as i can delete the too many objects? (m2)

Noggit / [QUESTION] Noggits make deep holes at saving

Hello,

When I editing ground on my own Map and after this the map will saving Noggit make holes on some adts. (look like screen)
But in this screen they are not very deep, some another moments the holes very deep.

it is annoying when you make some changes, save this and than over the map some holes created. You must delete some adts from noggit folder and than make the changes for new.

How any here a idea as I can make that this not will happen?

edit: in some case of save the map, noggit crashes and than the holes are there. the holes are in this case deeper.

Hello,

I tried with blizz Instances to Change the difficulty, example, a instance with only a non heroic mode to add a heroic mode.
Its works, but by the minimap who display the number of players for the instance is zero.
When I create a new instance map and add all some, in there works.
Have any a idea why its not works on a origin blizz instance?

Hey,

Today try i to add a new Currency like Emblem of Frost or another Emblem.

I create a new Item in the item_template, add the entry into Item.dbc and add the new Currency to the CurrencyTypes.dbc

And here is my problem. the CurrencyTypes.dbc has 3 fields,(with the id 4) the last field numbers like a flag, from blizz 1 to 29.
When I give my own currency the flag 30 and I add me this ingame I don't see it. But I give this the number 29 (number of emblem of frost) and add the new currency ingame, same, i didn't see its, except i add me a emblem of frost, so i see my own currency.

Ok i think this number says the client update now the currency window.
To the next, i looking in some framexml/gluexml but here i nothing found.
Any here have a idea who i found this? So that the new currency ingame displayed when a player become this first, without he must become after this a emblem of frost or a another thing.

Noggit / [SOLVED] Can't delete M2 on Map

Have a new Problem  :D

I change some things on my map, then i noticed that three old m2 still here. So I delete this three M2 again and save the map.
After closed and re opening the map - the deletet M2 again here????
Try it's with save all and save  current - both doesn't function.

what can i make do permanently remove the M2?
On a another adt works perfectly.

can move the m2 and than save - works. when i delete than the m2, save and re open noggit the m2 on his old place again....

Miscellaneous / [QUESTION] On a Custom Map Taxi

Hey ,

I will testing to add a new Flight point on a custom map.
The dbcs be modified, when i go ingame to the flightmaster i can discover a new Flight point.
And here is my problem, i see nothing.
So I look around in the another patches and found the InterfaceTaxiframe in this looks for me, the map for the flightmaster. After this is see I create a own map for my custom map in the resolution 512x512 and converte this to blp and add this in the patch-4deDE.MPQ. this map I named taximap733.blp (733 is my map id)
but now ingame i see after the changes nothing.

where make i a fail?

Modelling and Animation / [QUESTION] Import MoP Moddels to Wotlk

Hello,

I tries to Import MoP Moddels, so creatures moddels.
So i copy the *.m2, blp, skin and anim files in my patch.mpq
then i modify the CreatureModelData.dbc and CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc.

When i look with the WoWModdelViewer i can see the copy moddel, but i create a creature with the new displayid i see it ingame not. Also i morph me self and i see not.

How i make a fail? Or needs more dbcs? when which?

Hey,

I have two Questions.
1: I use wowmodelviewer7 for noggit, but i can not see new moddels. With a newer version of wmv it works.
It's only don't see in the 7 version new moddels or i do a mistaken?

2: On a own map I will create a ocean, but the last adts must not start by z 0. Give it a possibility to change the z data from a adt?

i have a new question :D

I read some threads about water in this forum, so i search for the water breath, when i go under water.
in a another thread state, is simple, re make the vmpas. i make this, i re make the vmaps and the maps, now when i go in my custom water its doesn't use the breath.

my question, what make i wrong or must i make another things for custom water?

Level Design / [SOLVED]  adts can not add to a mpq

Hello,

I have here a Question :D

today i have create a new world. offsetfix have i used.
to here all works. then i open the mpq file and will add the adt to the mpq.
And here is my problem. some adts works with no problems
And then say the mpq editor to my, not enougth space free on disk. so i looked and see its 131gb free.
i try again and the same fail come now.

What cann i do, to fix the fail?

I hope you can help me :)

When i  login on my own Map, so i see no grass or another things.
as can this set so they see Ingame?

Noggit / Noggit and two language installation.

Hello,

I Have World of Warcraft new installed, with two Language,  german and  english.
Now load Noggit every the English files and not the Germans.

My Question now, can i change this, so noggit now load the german files? And not the English?

Noggit / Noggit crashes when placing wmos

Hey,

I have three problems with noggi :/ i hope you can me help.

I use Noggit, so i look around for wmos. So i copy the wmo with strg + c, go to my place and will set the wmo with strg +v, in this moment crashed noggit. This happens, particularly when i will copy larger wmos. With little wmos, don't crashed.

So then is use the Text file, i search any wmos and use the function to write the wmo in the text file.
when i have any wmos, so i go eny thing to my place and will placed the wmos, so i don't see the wmos.
When i click to the ground with my mous, i have the wmo in target. but i don't see it :(
In WoW, the wmos also invisible. someone her have a idee?

Good, the last problem.
I set in the noggit.conf the wow folder and my Project-Directory. Then i start noggit, set any textures (some of it, in wow very bright green :/) i place wmos an will save all. In the log.txt i will become this error.
