[QUESTION] Problem with texturing
« on: May 06, 2015, 06:21:08 pm »
Hey guys, I've succesfully created a new continent (with 1 adt), but I can't seem to get the ground texture working. When I just use the map without any additions (so just a flat map as it's just been created) it looks fine ingame. The ground texture looks exactly like the texture in noggit then.

However, when I just change anything on the map, that won't work anymore. When I raise or lower the ground on a random part of the map, create a mpq file and so forth and so forth, it looks weird ingame. It turns like totally black (almost).

Here's what my map looks like in noggit with a bit of water and a lighthouse (not visible on the pic) next to it:

And this is what it looks like ingame:

TL:DR -> The ground effects of my map ingame are not what they should look like, since they should look like the noggit map.

So does anyone know how to fix this?

The ADT files

>> Open the following folder

F:WoWModdingToolsADTAdder

>> Open the ADTAdder.exe
>> Press the Browse button and select the file template_0_0.adt from the same directory.
>> Enter the name test03 for map name
>> Enter the cords 29 and 29 in the filds from ADT
>> Enter the cords 33 and 33 in the filds to ADT
>> Press Start creation
>> Now wait till the adder have created all the files. Just have a look in the application folder if text03_33_33.adt is there.
>> Run the fix.bat script with double click to fix cords of all ADTs.
>> Copy the new created ADT files to your map folder.

Try this first with a new .adt. Also try to get the middle part of the map and not one of the cornor or anything else of the border.

I think it\'s important to keep a balance in things. Yeah, balance, that\'s the right word. Cause the guy who wants too much risks losing absolutely everything. Of course, the one who wants too little from life, might not get anything at all.
