you need lines "input m2", "input m2i", and "output m2". in the input m2 lije just write the path to the initial m2 model.

i manage to get the m2i file..but i got another problem...when i get the m2i file into blender..and i modify it...and export it as m2i...and i try to reimport the modify m2i file back to blender..than the changes that i made are not there for some unkown reasonX_X do u know why?and whats happening and how to fix it?

There are only 3 scales for a "true" robe :

The first one is too long, the two others are too short. That's why you should try to make a fake robe instead, like that :

You just have to use legs geosets, and play with textures.  ;)

u made those?..if so ur a genius..can u make a tutorial or something pretty pls?...because playing with geosets and textures is not helping me to much :(

Because there is only one skirt geoset, and you can't add any more geosets than blizzard has.

What I think you could possibly do is replace the northrend legs geoset with a skirt geoset. I never tried that so I can't say if that can be done or not, so try and error.

what u mean..hmm?didnt get it

I don't think it matters at all.

You just go about what you have to edit.

im saying that..each hair type have a different geoset..and the texture contains alpha and transparent texture..so i am asking..why the hair geoset can be changed..in more that 1 type..and the skirt not?..i mean all the hair geoset are different..not like the robes where they are all the same...when u can ur hair style..the geoset changes to...so why cant that happen to the skirts to?

it is the item that defines the texture on the geoset

yeah but not all hair style are the same...they have different meshes... and each with alpha texture.

also..from what i notice..most of the hair geosets have transparent texture..and there are more than one geoset...for the hairs...like different models ..with alpha each of them....how is that happening?

It has to be blender because blender has the m2i plugin that allows you to convert and edit m2 files with animation.

And no, to my knowledge it's impossible to make more than a single skirt geoset

hmm i see but can u ''trick'' the wow engine to read the skirt geoset as a regular one...even though its a bit different...like have like having more skirts geosets for example with the name X..even though they are slightly different.

You have to edit the geoset, meaning the easiest way would be to convert the blood elf character model to m2i with m2mod3 and edit the geoset in blender 2.49

there is only one geoset for the skirt bottom, i think, meaning you can only have one type of skirt model at a time.
Doing this will remove the old skirt kind completely, and replace it with this.

well..its not working with 3ds max?...

also if i modify the skirt model..and send to wow..to import..isnt the skirt animation gonna get lost?..like when u attach the modify skirt model to the model...it wont just float there..when the char is running..like stiffed or something...

also..cant i just make more version of skirts...and have the wow engine to reconize them?

It's related to the geoset that robe uses. Meaning to edit that you would have to change the entire robe geoset, so every robe would be like that.

That is model editing.

well..if i modify the skirt...then the skirt part might get stiffed on the import after edit...is that possible?..and how is the correct procces to modify a skirt?..

also could i have like 3-4-5 different examples of skirt..with different forms or shapes..under different names?
