Reminds me my first projects, you need some polishing in terrain texturing and modeling, but you are on good way, so I am looking forward to see how your work will look like about 3-6 months after this. Try more shading, spray effects, these kinds of things. I will post short tutorial for my style, it looks good enough and still isn't that much thorough and difficult like blizzard style, but its quite easy and fast when you get into it.:

Results of this style with m2s, GEs and HD textures look somehow like this ingame:

Another advice: if you don't want to use cata/mop models, at least try using cata/mop terrain textures. Also think about retexturing old models you are using. They got just old, we were seeing them everywhere for quite a long time. Try to change textures of your models, even change their resolution (256x256 > 512x512 and use some other, well looking texture fitting into this size without resizing). For instance, this is screenshot from my making of city made of vanilla (and some northrend) buildings with northrend based textures used (ignore terrain texturing, it was my 2nd wow modding project ever I was working on):

Use shading (or spray effects like I thing axel does),HD is cool, things unseen before as well, while things seen everywhere are just... well, everywhere, thats their main problem. Thats all I wanted to tell you here.
