phys from Legion To WoD
« on: May 24, 2016, 02:43:48 pm »
Hi,

I've ported Warcraft movie transmog into WoD, but the physic isn't present. On MoP+ physic are here in the Engine, there's some change in Legion as I know. So, I wanted to know, how to enable Legion phys in Warlords of Draenor, because there's a lot of things using .phys (belt, weapons etc). The Replica of the Gul'dan Staff is awesome, but it can be more awesome if physic is present. I looked into the M2, I've tryed to modify the GLOBAL_FLAGS nothing, one time on two I got a Wowerror. I've delete SFID and PFID chunk, nothing. So I don't know how to manage to enable it. And I know, modders are only on TLK, but if someone work on WoD and Legion.

no physic

Thanks.

Did you copy the .phys files?

Yeah, I've removed the Legion chunk in but nothing...
In M2 there's a new thing called SPID and PFID (the new chunk to locate the phys file for Legion) and I've tried almost all I know...

well, if you remove chunks, you remove joints, thus cripple it. you'd have to replace them with other joints, but that would result in different looks. you also need to remove all the v1+ things, crippling it even more.

tldr: you'll have to remove all the new-version stuff, meaining that you're quite limited in what can actually be retroported.

Legion changed the version, which should result in WoD not even loading the files. It also changed existing stuff as well as adding new chunks, which WoD would not understand.

Ahoy, it's me again. I've took the model from WoD with .phys, but this is the same. Phys in WoD for the Gul'dan's staff doesn't work in my client. I haven't changed something, I put m2 and phys file in my client... There's a DB2 or DBC to edit ? I've no idea...

Nope, flags in m2 are the only relevant thing. Be sure not to have Cvar physenable set to false.
