All the guy did was add the guldan model to the login screen, no conversion or anything.

I got how to add the model to the login screen, but the problem is adding animation to the model like how he has Gul'dan Doing the ChannelCastOmni from WoW Model Viewer that is the problem I have run into now, and I have tried to contact Lyn about how he created the Login Screen, but have gotten nowhere and Morded hasn't answered me back either. So I am at a lost

Modelling and Animation / [QUESTION] WoWModelViewer Question
« on: August 07, 2015, 11:50:50 pm »
I have this .gif animation file (below) which is what I want to use for a login screen model.

Now I know you can use .m2 files but how would I convert this to .m2 file format I heard you had to export the model from WoWModelViewer as a FBX which is fine but I cant find the file once I export it.

Can someone give me a hand please :D

You can also do as Inico said, but that requires a patched client so it accepts modifications to the interface files (the XMLs and LUAs files).

But you can also extract the image from the MPQ archive, edit it so it's transparent, or put anything you want on it, and put it in your patch. As soon as you keep the same folder structure it will work.

Thanks bud, it worked :D

I have one more question maybe you or someone else could help me with.

I am trying to find a spell or effect that shows like dust falling or small rocks, if you could help me find something similar it would be very much appreciated :)

Edit the BLP file named "Glues-ESRBRating.blp" located in Interface/Glues/Login
There's also a bunch of other files in there, for different countries.

But how would you edit something that is located in the Locale-enUS.mpq file through the MPQ Editor I know how to extract the file but would I need to create the folder structure in the interface folder and than rename it? or is there a different way of doing it and thank you for the help pal :)

Okay thanks for helping hand bud :)

Update:

I fixed the last issue but now the buttons aren't changing I even followed the correct Folder Structure and everything and it is showing the WOTLK Buttons and not the custom ones I have

11
After trial and error for about 2-3 hours I finally figured out how to work the tool and how to get the animation working but when I removed the line

<Script file="LSTool.lua"/>

from AccountLogin.XML it stopped the background from working but the Animations are still there.

What could of caused this issue?

12
The area where the Account Name and Password would be entered and I was to move the Login, Exit Buttons.

I read Morded's guide but I was having a hard time understanding what he was actually doing but I get the gist of it all  lol

I have been trying to figure how to change the credential area of the login screen, but I have not been able to find anything explaining where it would located or even how to edit it. So I thought I would bring it to ModCraft, and since I am here I might as well ask this.

How would I be able to add Animation to the Login screen? I have seen some amazing things done with the guide that Morded created but I have found myself lost among all things. So could someone explain or atleast tell me where to find something that could explain it to me :)

If you need a picture let me know and I shall add some :)
