Editing wmo
« on: February 19, 2011, 11:31:07 pm »
Hi. I created this topic at the wish of my friend. He want edit and create his own wmo file. We export orc fortress.wmo to obj file. We can open this file in cinema4D and edit him, but what we don't know is how convert this file back to the wmo. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/2783/fotress.jpg Do you know how? Or is any way to edit wmos in different software?
I looked on mmowned but no result... Thx for your time :)

There are no real WMO editing tools or converters. Tigurius tried writing one once but it was bugged. Don't know if it ever fully worked.

:( What a pity... It would be really awesome edit and upgrade this shoddy buildings from blizz... Now I remember, when I create new file in tallis there is choice m2 and wmo. Probably is not the way how to do it there? Or what tallis do with wmo?

You can modify Texture Paths of WMOs with Taliis (or even create a new one if I remember correctly, however there is no way of putting that information of all the vertices you're having into it)

As schlumpf already pointed out Tigu once wrote a tool for it but it was too bugged to work stable and it also didn't feature UV Maps, so unless you want a blank colored wmo it's not the tool you're looking for.
A few days ago I had a little chat with Tigu about it and he said there haven't been any improvements done to it.
