An introduction... And questions!
« on: March 07, 2015, 02:24:52 pm »
Hiya!
RinLin here! No, I am not a Pandaren... xD
I am new to modding, and the main-reason I want to learn it, is so I can pose models however I want in Blender, and make purdy and unique edits.
So, does the M2ModRedux work with WoD-models? How to save them? Since Save Character only works with .chr files? Yes, I use the latest beta-version of WMV.
Uh, also, where do I put the scriptfiles in the M2ModRedux-thread? ^^
I have looked around, but not found anything.~~

You put the script files in your Blender SCRIPTS Folder.

Simply you have no idea with what structures you are messing .ch is only signifiant for WMV not real models
and MODRedux can load LK one version of ModReduxes can load them.... so why you are not looking for propet version ...

Do you have any 3D Modeling experience at all? Or are you pretty much new to that as well? By Modeling, I'm referring to creating something, not editing something that was made by someone else.

Wow, so many... rude replies. If you're just gonna be a jack and tell me to look "harder", kindly scoot off.
I have a bit of experience, I have worked with MMD (MikuMikuDance) earlier.

I wouldn't take it to heart RinLin  :)

People here get a lot of faces waltz in and ask silly questions, and in your defense it can be a rough to wade through all the posts on similar topics. I mostly lurk and ask these silly questions after a sleepless night of modding.

Here's a couple links that'll hopefully help you out:

Vesageough's M2mod Redux 4.6.1 does indeed work with WoD models, as I've tested the past couple nights. You'll be able to bring them into Blender, then rig, pose and render them.

Vesageough's tutorials are also helpful, directly related to his work on M2mod Redux and working with WoD models in Blender.

Welcome!

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was trying to figure out what level of expertise your knowledge is at.  If you're a complete beginner to digital creations, I would not recommend using Vesageough tutorials since it might give you the wrong impression around what you're after.
