Warlords of Draenor
« on: November 08, 2013, 10:55:19 pm »
Well, it's official.

.

Updated Gnomes

Updated Dwarves

Updated Orcs

What do you think of it?

I personally love the Draenei architecture. I hate the original one but the one they're going for with Auchindoun and the Temple of Karabor seems epic.

Yeah it looks really nice, but I'm kind of dissapointed by the fact that they use Garrosh as a centerpiece of everything that's causing the time rift to happen...

I'm just glad at the end of Cata that Jaina is less neutral. Warlords looks fun, but I'm not going to be playing it on retail.

I tried to put new dwarfs texture on an old one, and yet... this is kind of disappointing.

Let's not talk about his head, he looks like a pervert
If someone wants to try to make him look better (which is obviously possible), here have the textures I made :

You can find extracts of the original textures here with a low quality :

Haha great !

IMHO the extension will be as disappointing as MoP and it didn't make me want try WoW again.
But the graphic updates are great, same Blizzard style, but way more polished, I like this. Maybe it will be time for the community to move to another base version than 3.3.5 ?

(Guys the female dwarves ! <3 The forsaken ! <3 )

Moving to a new version as a base is mainly limited by emulator developers slacking, and not being able to connect to unsigned servers post cata without modifications of the client.

Well, maybe that will actually motivates them, after 2 extensions with almost no true engine updates. I didn't know about the required client modification though, that sucks...

I'd have quit retail a long time ago if I hadn't been playing in the guild I'm in. Personally the general atmosphere in WoD seems better than MoP. While MoP wasn't bad graphically I didn't enjoy the asian style all that much. It's cool but not as cool as WoD seems to become.

for the 1st time in a very long time im thinking of playing to wow again. cata an mop never should ve existed. So sad they needed such a long time to find out what a good expansion is. All my good old friend stopped playing a long time ago, only bad new people are playin now.
