ok iv got a different problem guys. my noggit works perfect in every way except for the fact that my NEW map will not show

i copied my map.dbc from patch three which was highest

and i made my new world called "valley" into patch-enUS-4.MPQ

the structure is
patch-enUS-4.MPQ

-DbFilesclient/Map.DBC

-World/maps/valley/(all my adt and WDT)

its all compiled via the mpq editor and place in Wow/data/enUS where patch 1 2 and 3 are

whenever i place the mpq in there noggit will crash uponopening but once i take it out everything is normal

Here is my patch
patch-enUS-4.MPQ - 1.3 MB

here is my noggit 3 log when i open it while my new patch is inside wow and it crashes

Miscellaneous / Need a wow patch? Look NO further! :)
« on: June 21, 2011, 09:11:35 am »
Hey there wow modders. i have recently returned and need to get to wow 3.3.5 version so i could start modding. Thing is i couldn't find any working patches. all the ones i downloaded were broken:/

i finally found the perfect site with every wow patch there is with a download for every country wow is in. it also has every mac download. I hope this helps some one. :geek:

Don't worry all the patches are hosted by file front which is a straight forward download.game site.
no stupid surveys or subscriptions/premium accounts.  ;)

Level Design / What Version of Wow!? (SOLVED)
« on: June 21, 2011, 05:24:32 am »
:D  Hello Mod craft community! I joined a while back and tried some level design but never quite go there. Here i am a year later back and intent  on doing SOMETHING. I'm surprised i even remember a lot of this stuff. Enough on all the hello stuff though i have a question.

-I have all my tools ready

wotlk is downloaded

but what version is required to edit wow with the newest noggit? My wow says version 3.2.0

i really hope this is my last prob before i can start editing lol

my noggit works and i have everything in order, all my .dbc and .wdt and .adt's are in right places and right format. i open noggit and nothing shows, i read the older posts and the one guys problem was diff cause he had the .dbc in wrong folder, but mine are all right.

To be more descriptive, i open noggit 3 exe and the normal list appears, but "stronghold" which my instance name isn't there in the list

Level Design / Just a curious question
« on: July 16, 2010, 08:51:37 pm »
i really am sorry for posting yet another thread with a question, but this question is out of curiosity, not a real a problem

yes i do know that Stormwind city is in fact one .wmo and is also split up into smaller ones
but in a model editor or something of the sort would it be possible to make your own "City"
like how old cot Stratholme is. I want to make a human city with streets and different districts

of course i know this would take a lot of time and the likeliness of it happening is close to 0

just wanted to have everyones thought  :)

EDIT:
You could also open the Stormwind .wmo and just build off that, changing textures and remodeling the city to the way you want it

Level Design / Wich coords to use when adding items?!:D
« on: July 15, 2010, 08:31:24 pm »
i apologize for posting a lot of questions, even though iv played around with noggit before, i am still a level design newbie when it comes to all this spawning items

i put the .wmo in the list in tallis, and in the shown object which cords do i put? Noggit displays two sets of cords

 Server cords
&
client cords

im not advance enough to tell the difference so can u tell which ones to put  :ucheers:

EDIT
Problem is fixed though now i have another please refer to the forum of noggit not showing the instance in list

Level Design / Noggit has ground splits
« on: July 15, 2010, 07:33:48 am »
i have a quick question, when i  change the ground in noggit, like say i make a ditch or river bed, when i exit and reload there are ground splits, like holes in the ground, anyone else have this problem and is there a fix?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

i have another question, only part of my area in noggit has the grass colour, the rest is dark blue and i am unable to change it. how do i fix this

Level Design / lands wont show in noggit!
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:12:00 am »

UPDATE

my problem is now fixed! Thanks!

ok so i went through all the steps

i put adt files and the wdt file in their respective spots(data/world/Test)
i am still unclear of where to put my .dbc file. I did edit the maps.dbc and put in all the infor on the chart for my new instance.

When i start up Noggit i can see my zone in the list(in this case mine is called "Test")
I click on it and the whit/clear box shows up and after i load in there is nothing... just sky and no land
i did put in the  tilesetelwynnelwynngrassbase.blp for my original .adt

Sorry my post is kinds messed up, im really flusterd right now and its late here. I just wanted to get my question out there

Also if u want me too i will upload pic or file if u need
HELP :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:

This could be the problem too, ill explain

After you save your first .adt, you then create the rest of them in the adt_adder program
       After this  Eulo's guide states

Quote
Now like that they won't show up in Noggit or InGame.
You need to fixx them a little bit...for taht ,just copy the offsetfixx.exe and the cygwin1.dll into the folder where the adts are located. Now create a new Textdocument where you paste this in:

after this i made the word document and pasted this into it
Quote
@echo off
for %%i in (*.adt) do OffsetFix.exe "%%i"
pause

i saved it as a batch file and ran it. MY command prompt opened with the fixing messages, escept they were not the normal messages. Here is what  the log said

If this is not the problem then maybe its my  map.dbc file cause i don't know where to put it
