[Questions] New to Noggit.
« on: December 06, 2012, 11:11:17 pm »
Hey I am currently trying to start learning world editing, but I have a few questions.
I am using Noggit(1.x) for WoW patch 1.12.1. I am trying to create special routes to cut down time on traveling (I.E. making a valley on a mountain range )

1) My shift+left click functions work, but my Alt+left click functions do not. not on either alt. (I cannot lower/blur)
2) is there a post that shows me the way to take the map file from noggit and convert it into a patch( I do not know how to save the file correctly in Noggit.)
3) is there a way to edit Scholomance?

I don´t remember the old functions that well sorry ;)

2) is there a post that shows me the way to take the map file from noggit and convert it into a patch( I do not know how to save the file correctly in Noggit.)
You save the files with k as far as i know. Then u can find .adt files in your wow folder (*path to your wow/world/maps/*yourcontinentname). Create a new patch with this tool: http://www.filebeam.de/temp/MPQEdit1.1.7z and in it the same strucure as in your wow folder. Then put the .adt files into the /continent/ directory in your .MPQ and take that .MPQ to the data folder of your wow. Now you need a wowme.exe for 1.12. or you edit the wow.exe on your own. Start wow with this .exe and your changes will be applied.

3) is there a way to edit Scholomance?
Scholomance is one big object. Only way to edit would be to convert it into a .3ds or any other 3d model format, edit it and reconvert it.

Thanks you Shruik :)

the big major problem is still not being able to lower/bur my edits.
It says "Left-lick+alt" to lower, but when I try to lower it, it does not work.  :(

Also in the early versions the both tools of raisen/lower and flatten/blure where located and SHIFT or CTRL plus click/mouse move. Not on ALT.

Try this.
