Hiya,

I see you all making awesome pieces of art.

and I'm at a point where my project is taking some nice shape aswell.
How ever I do have an issue/question Id like to discuss.

How do you guys place most of your objects, Tree's, Houses etc.

At this point when ever I add something in noggit something els disappears.

Kinda annoying cause most of it is stuff I would like to keep.

Always save a map only once per running an application. Whenever you save by ctrl+s, always escape Noggit, run it again and you can continue editing until you save again.

Also try to keep saving all ADTs you want to edit together. By pressing M you will get map of ADT grid, every ADT which will be saved is marked with white color. Always make sure that all ADTs you are working on (or you were working on previously or will be working on in future) will be saved.

By following these 2 steps you should never get any of 2 too well known saving bugs - models disappearing and models being duplicated.

Awesome thanks for the tip.

Models being duplicated sounds like something els I'm having "trouble" with. There is this cave and I deleted 50+ times but there are still more.

Getting crazy out of hand.

I should still keep the amount of items low at every save/restart right?

Like each 5 ?

Edit:

I also noticed when I use noggit 3.0.22 some items are missing that I have placed while when I start up noggit 3.0.14 they are still there..

It doesn't really matter how much work you do before you save your progress. All that matters is that you need to restart that application after every save. Thats all. That cave which is more than 50 times there - thats exactly that duplication bug. From 1 are 2, from 2 4, from 4 8... 16, 32, 64, 128, 256... and enjoy deleting :D. This, on the other hand, happens when you are not saving the whole edited area together (or a whole map, if that is possible due to small-enough map being used).

About those versions, that sounds quite strange to me. I have no explanation for that, but what I wrote should prevent other such errors from appearing again.
