normally you have to delete the patch.mpq in the data folder and then just use repair.exe but may it don't work on cataclysm...
I would make a copy of the wow folder and test it on one folder...

its strange that it automaticly updates to 4.0 in updater. so now i have to find patches is guess

It's always been like that.
BC Release -> Automatically 2.x
WotLK Release -> Automatically 3.x
So yes, you have to look for the patches, but concerning WoW there are plenty of patch mirror sites.

the Patches Scrolls
, their mirrors are pretty quick.
