The current episode of Artcraft showcases development in texture and terrain styles for the WoD zone Spires of Arak, including a video of a live-build-up of a complete sub-zone and live wowedit work, which may interest some of you.

You may want to check the post for additional screenshots of various mountain styles and concept art as well as more information. You may also check the other artcraft posts.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know about this.

A lot of the music used is very nice. I don't recognise all of it despite people saying it is from vanilla. There are parts that are used in vanilla but not all of it as far as I am aware.

The tracks used in the video are Legacy, Temple, and The Shaping of the World, in that order.

Vanilla’s soundtrack is amazing as a whole, but The Shaping of the World is particularly great. It still gives me chills, even after hearing it hundreds of times. Oddly enough, it’s not really used in the game anywhere.

Anyway, it’s cool to see a professional at work. WoWEdit looks like it's very smooth and stable. If only somebody could leak a copy…

Indeed.
Especially the color painting has a huge effect in my opinion.
