Hello, does anyone know why character models cannot use larger texture sizes? Other NPC's can use 512x512 textures in place of 256x256 textures interchangeably without crashing the game (such as my druid form patch, which is all 512 textures rather than the usual 256 ones).

I get the feeling character models are textured differently from everything else, for example I can't figure out why my undead character model is using face textures for its fingernails, is it possible to change that?

I don't intend to do ANY work for you but yes, they are different.

NPC's use BakedNPCTextures. Every other model uses a bunch of textures hardcoded into the model and it becomes a real pain in the ass to figure it out.
